You essentially just aggreed with my whole premise, that install base is the only reason for the higher sales and even then it is barely outselling FH2. Oh well, I'm ashamed I even spent this much time talking about it. Good day!

Huh,  where is your proof it's over tracked,? Online stores make up  a tiny portion of sales.  Where was it given for free?  The ps4 user base us larger and it was cheaper digitally.  If anything it is under tracked. 

You will get a huge proof when the monthly sales come out, I'm willing to bet if you want (that is over tracked).

UK and Portugal at least. It was ps4 + driveclub for 400 (black or white), now is ps4 + driveclub + minecraft for 400... Btw destiny Bundle was also free for a while, 2 weeks I believe.


In other words you have nothing.  Gotcha.  Ps4 user base is double it's not rocket science.  Forza is not a big seller....... DC also sold a lot digitally.  It is cheaper on psn.

What math?  You have yet to show any that shows its over tracked. Ps4  has a bigger install base in the US. 

All websites that sell games aren't enough for you, I wonder if you will comment the over tracking when npd comes out.

Well this is according to VG, but if you look at the UK charts you will see that FH2 #7 is already back above DC #14, depite being released earlier. Personally I think VG is being a little generous with their driveclub numbers.

don't use UK for WW sales please. The global difference between PS4 and X1 is much bigger than it is in the UK.

I'm only using UK for the trend which is showing that DC is falling much faster.

Makes no sense as UK the ratio is 1.5 to 1.  The rest of Europe is way bigger then the UK By a wide margin and the ratio of ps4 to XB1 is 5 and 6 to 1 in many cases.  Racing games are more popular in Europe as well then the US.

Like where?  Links?  Online retailers make up 5 percent of sales means squat.  That's not even considering the price drop and being able to get forza for free with some x1 bundles making it jump up the charts.

Anyway, selling more in 1 week than FH2 did in 3 weeks is not just "barely" outselling.

1 PS user base is starved for a racer.

2 DC say what you want, is well liked by its owners.

3 more casuals are buying the PS4 then the other two, reviews will have little effect on them.  

4 Its the right time, for all its issues the time is right for it to sale plenty.  

5 Its on the right console that historically buys lots of racing games.  

Its not all doom and gloom for DC.

That is true.  Just a possibility this early in the gen.  Also that it is already the SECOND Forza for Xbox One so the newer users may have gone with it but others may have been satisfied with 5 still.  Meanwhile we've been waiting since launch for Driveclub so if you're a racing fan on PS4 you probably are going to go for it.  Eventually I have to think that this yearly release schedule for Forza is going to hurt it considering how much carryover there is in between racing games.  GT is smart for having 1 release for most of the gen and just adding cars and tracks later.
