Yeah, I have a tablet. Its a Samsung 500t W8 hybrid with a 2nd gen atom. I got it earlier in the year for around $230 refurbished. I use it for pretty much everything when I'm not on my desktop. It's even good for some light sketching, thanks to its wacom digitizer. Its a little slow with some desktop applications, but RT apps are always an option if they're available. I'd still recommend a windows tablet over pretty much any other kind after my experience with this. Just avoid Windows RT. Its a rip off, and 3rd gen atom tablets running full windows aren't any more expensive than that RT crap anyway.

No. I have a smartphone and an onslaught of handheld gaming systems (Vita, 3DS, PSP, GBA SP).

I have a Nexus 7 2nd Generation Tablet (2013). The tablet has good specs. The only negative thing I see is that you can't expand the storage.

I have a surface RT 1 with type cover and use it mostly when on the move.
Portable, easy to pack and OK to write stuff on (mostly boring word documents)

no and I never will. I cannot for the life of me see the point of them.

either get a laptop or a smartphone. there just a useless medium in between

Have a Xperia tablet and iPad retina, but wondering if i should get a surface pro 3.... as i really like the idea of being able to actually use PC apps on a tablet... which is one of my biggest bugbears about normal tablets.

Making an indie game : Dead of Day!

I've had a first gen Nexus 7 since its release. And I have a Nexus 9 coming in the mail. Should be here this week.

I mainly use them for video consumption, some light reading, browsing, and the occasional mobile game. Emulators also work at full speed, but unless it's a turn based RPG or something, the lack of physical buttons is annoying. It's also a nice device to control my Chromecast. I'm all in with the Google ecosystem, so I can also access my music and documents via these tablets. I'm also gonna look into remote play for the PS4, though it officially isn't supported.

You left an option out of the pole: Yes, and I hate the damn thing.

My ipad 2 was convenient at first, but it became the most useless thing I own not to mention a headache to use sometimes.

The browser never works correctly, always kicking me out of whatever page I happen to be browsing.

I dislike itunes and their app store.

I will never buy another ipad again, ever.

Get a hybrid, man. They might cost more, but they beat simple laptops in every way besides screen size.

The combination of a desktop, hybrid tablet, and smartphone give you the best of all ekrlds., IMO.

A VivoTab 2 for personal use, an Tab 3 for Android software development.
