Don't know. If you think you can get all the advantages with a single amiibo, i don't expect those advantages to be that big.

I mean, Mario Amiibo will work with what? 30+ games until the end of Wii U? I don't expect big advantages for every game. 

Of course, once in a while there will be a bigger thing in a game for the right Amiibo.

Oh cool I can make a zero suit samus Mii and give her a Samus costume. Too bad there isn't a Pikachu costume since I have a Pikachu Mii. I have no idea how a Kirby costume will work...

What a let down, just costumes. Maybe more stuff tomorrow.
If not, there isn't much initiative to get Amiibo yet.

But that would imply that people who don't get the dlc wont be able to use the Amiibo update? I think the update is needed to install dlc, but they are seperate downloads and therefore dlc is optional.

Yeah, Amiibo compatibility is currently an afterthought. Maybe they'll patch more interesting stuff later on.
They did say they are thinking of unique ways of using nfc.

This is only the compatibilty for the first set.

10 out of 12 of them are compatible.

ZSS might be as well when she gets her amiibo!
