THE Debra Winger?

There is no reason to vote today considering they are all controlled by lobbyist. I would vote if my state had a legalization of marijuana vote.  I voted once in my life and it felt like the most worthless thing.

I'm not voting. Only very significant election in my state is for governor, and both candidates are lackluster moderates. Usually if I vote and there is no candidate I agree with, it will be whichever candidate is represented the least in the current government so that there is internal conflict and less "bipartisan" bullshit that reduces my freedoms. That is why I like the idea of a republican congress and a democratic president. Nothing will get done other than hopefully the repealing of dead-weight laws, and my opinion that is a good thing.

We voted on if we should vote on bringing minimum wage to 10 dollars an hour. Being a poor person I obviously said no.

You make more than 10 right now?

A good reason to vote for a politician is if you have them on the payroll.

Of course, you'd be better hedging your bets and putting them both on the payroll.

I am getting more positive about politicians here, we have a political party in Belgium who I not voted for but I kind of respect because they call themself the party for the workers and they even went so far that they as politician can not earn more than 1500 euro (1850 dollars) around the minimum wage...until the whole the working population earns more. I like their view that you should not be politician for the money but for the people and that is indeed I want to see more.

you dont get so well payed as politician in europe.  they make 10k a month, but work long hours and have to travel allmost everyday.

its a hard job and i dont want them to be payed so badly, we need good people.   the bigger problem i see is the payment after they get elected. we need a long periode of not switching from politic into highpayed buisness positions thats where the politicians make their money, an its a form of bribs.

Then that case you have your answer. Debra Winger. Since she will be addressing airport noise for the poor like you. Especially since you care more about non-problems then real problems like minimum wage not keeping up with the rate of inflation.

If you don't vote then they will do whatever they like regardless. If you don't like them, then you have to challenge them yourself and even if you don't win then your presence may be welcome especially if it's what most people are thinking. Abstaining does nothing to better a wrong situation no matter how unsatisfying voting is.
