I would say go to Newegg and Amazon and just read the reviews. This is what I do for pretty much everything I buy for my pc.

If you are looking for like the best overclocking, I say get the Gigabyte Windforce or the MSI Twin Frozr. I got the Asus one cause its good at overclocking (but not as great as the Gigabyte or MSI) and its silent cause it turns off the fans on low idle situations and games that don't require much horsepower like sc2 and LoL. And it theory, the fans should last longer cause they aren't spinning most of the time until I play high end games
Just make sure your case fits cause these are very long cards! (11 inch+)
Edit: Oh, less than 11 inches, then you should go with the Standard referenc cards cause they are 10.5 inches. Evga are pretty good warrenty but I like Asus ones the best cause they never failed me! But thats just from my experience
PC Specs: CPU: 7800X3D || GPU: Strix 4090 || RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 || Main SSD: WD 2TB SN850
I like Gigabyte myself but I'm sure MSI and Asus are top notch.
Hell even Zotac GTX 670 I had was rock solid.
Welcome to the Maxwell green team, Pi. Go nuts!
Good choice, I'm getting a GTX 980 (gigabyte or Zotac most likely) in a couple of months or so!
I got the MSI Twin Frozr Gaming GTX 970 and not only is it small but very quiet. If you don't like overclocking it comes with a gaming app that does it for you. Think OC for noobs. Has three options: OC/Gaming/Silent. OC overclocks it, Gaming is default and Silent downclocks it to save energy and reduce noise (so good for general PC use and your electricity bill).
the-pi-guy said: So I wanted to make an update. Got the card yesterday and installed it immediately. And tried it out on a bunch of stuff. Demoed some benchmarks Before - http://www.3dmark.com/3dm11/8948685 After - http://www.3dmark.com/3dm11/8949485 Playing games and using emulators has been a very different experience. I've been able to play games at 1080p, max settings and 60 fps easily. Unigine Valley Benchmark 1.0

Is that with 8xMSAA?
I made the mistake of getting a model will a reference cooler (on the cheap cheap). It has no coil whine but it hits the thermal ceiling of 80 degrees Celsius way too fast. Granted living in a tropical country doesn't help but I feel this may impact performance in the future (throttling). Am I overreacting?
I'm considering getting this for the card http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00HHMJIIO/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_S_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=2F4VXF0R2XDRA&coliid=I1BW056ATGTFXA
I bought a aftermarket cooler for my CPU and that stays at a cool 23 to 37 degrees celcius.
