Forums - Gaming Discussion - The Assassins Creed Series roast

WARNING. I am a human being and thus have free will. This enables me and others like me to have Opinions. If you are a big fan of Assassin's Creed please tread carefully! Or... you can just enjoy the discussion because it is not that serious.

I liked the historical references and locales of the game. I think it has taken some interesting history particularly American history that tends to get glossed over, and shown some new things via gaming. I like that about the deries...and thats about it.

The games bore me to tears. I admittedly have ADD when it comes to open world games but assassin's creed just feels like auto pilot to me. Particularly the platformng which has the depth of an ios game. Seriously it drives me insane. Your turn. Roast session commence.

huh? I will get the new assassins creed on xbox one

Which one? I hated the second and the third. But loved the first and the fourth game.

My grammar errors are justified by the fact that I am a brazilian living in Brazil. I am also very stupid.

My problem with the game is that the combat is extremely easy.

Is it sad that the OP has to say "WARNING. I am a human being and thus have free will. This enables me and others like me to have Opinions" before saying what he wants to say? I mean, almost everything is an opinion and people should take them as that but alas, I guess many don't for some reason.

And I agree, I dont particularly like the franchise either. Half of it do to not being my cup of tea and the other half is do to ubisoft and their idioticness (such as their DRM on the PC version)

Yeah i have heard about that via my brother. I have only had the game on ps3 and wii u.

I liked AC2 and Brotherhood to a lesser degree, then they ripped out the best part, tomb exploration and logic puzzles...
AC3 was a bore fest except for the few sail missions.
AC4 Black flag open world sailing was great fun, on land still boring to down right annoying (I hate those instant fail stay in range eavesdrop missions, can't follow the conversation anyway), outside the animus totally crap.
AC5 or Unity, not feeling it at all. Doesn't help the french revolution already put me to sleep in school.

In my opinion, the Assassin's Creed games are OK... But after saying that, I'm having a hard time coming up with good points.

The combat is too easy (just counter, and initiate 1-hit combos)
The assassinations are FAR too easy, especially recently with all the tools the give you.
The stealth isn't very good, with enemies having either super-senses or are completely blind.
The story usually isn't too interesting to me. But that's just a personal preference thing.
I guess my only good point is that they usually have worlds worth exploring.

Plus, I just dislike Ubisoft recently. With all their downgrades, trying to say 30fps is better, etc.

Not quite sure you've fully got the concept of a roast down.

Actually, while I'm at it, let me extend this to everyone here. Isn't a roast supposed to be a comedic mocking of someone/something?

Anyway, AC bores me to tears as well

I couldn't even play 5 hours of AC2 before quitting out of boredom.
