Well, N Sync have the top 2 first week sales, and both of those were consecutively. They might have been able to do it if they had actually released a third album.

An impressive feature, but they actually had 3 albums. Their first album didn't debut with over a million. Also to be fair, albums sold far better back then. Taylor selling 1.3 million today is equal to selling about 2.5 million back in 1999.

I think now that Taylor has finally broken away from country she will try many other genres. I'm actually curious to see her try something with a lot more rock.

I have to admit I cannot stand Taylor Swift. It's not a issue with her so much, she seems like a pretty down to earth person in interviews and such. Money isn't everything, but when you have such precious hands to write such crafty real heart wreching soul shaking lyrics it just electrifies me. She feels pain beyond belief based on her lyrics. She's such a happy person on the outside, but you can tell that she's been through a lot that most people will never experience. For instance, when she sang I Knew You Were Trouble, she knew she was walking right into a trap, but her heart lead her into the explosions, but she projected her mistakes so cleverly through music.. She takes my breath away, I can't even describe it, she's so talented and we're so small.

But lots of artists right personal music. So much of her music is about the same sort of thing. There just isn't a whole lot to her songs either...Though of course musical taste is subjective.

I just suggest you give this new album a chance.. It's really good, that's all I'll say. If not, you're missing out.

Could you rank the songs for me?? i'm curious of your opinion. It must be exciting to watch all those people buy her album. I was soooo excited Monday when I went t0 Target and saw EVERYONE in the store with a Taylor Swift CD in their hands.

Rank the songs? I don't really know them honestly, It's just a blur of regularish pop to me. Though I don't listen to much modern pop anyways.

We have had llllooootttttssss of people come in and buy it though.

Yes, but they didn't relase any albums after their 3rd, which did sell over a million. Taylor Swfit didn't accomplish it with her first three either. Well, to be fair, no other music artist was able to sell as much as N Sync in their first week, whether in 1999 or 2014. However, Hikaru Utada did manage to sell over 3 million copies in one week in Japan.
