There have been 3 Xbox One SKU's above a single PS4, and then 5 Xbox One SKU above the PS4 Bundle since the announcement of the price change. Halo: MCC is also now #63 FOR THE YEAR, on the yearly list, putting it well above many other games from earlier this year

Nah no way the XB1 will outsell the PS4 by a combined mil in 2 months. The PS4 would almost have to not sell anything at all for that to happen. It will be a close battle both months IMO.

I've put it in layman terms.

Unless Microsoft removes the holiday pricing abruptly, I don't see a reason why ps4 would win Nov and Dec NPD. It will be a quite close sale difference though. For the long run, if Microsoft wants to be smart and have a healthy year ahead they must make the price reduction permanent. Or else we would see a larger gap by the time halo 5 or tomb raider is ready to be released

You shouldn't ask yourself what happens if xbox wins this months or the next.
You should aks yourself what's going to happen if xbox doesn't win even one of november and december with all this promotions in its strongest territory!

Xbox One should have win every NPD. Can't see why it didn't.

It is, or very close to have done so in the US and to a limit in the UK.

The price cut will only cement X1 as a true competitor and threat to the PS4 in the US.

My prediction?

X1 Nov. + Dec. = 1.9M (NPD)

PS4 Nov. + Dec = 1.4M (NPD)

I think X1 will win Nov Huge, and win Dec. too, but by a smaller amount.

XB1 winning Nov and Dec would be great news, PS4 will do well and with XB1 topping that it would mean the console market is very very healthy. I hope WiiU sells good too. Lots of money into video games :).

Read OP again. PS4 is 1million unit ahead in 9 months, that's more than 100k per month. It's not close, it's 66% ahead.
