Ive been reading alot of posts and news on here and on the interwebz in general like Xb1 is about to outsell the WiiU globally, PS4 sales still beasting and AC Unity being 900p what i havent been reading about is COD AW and how it will sell in US this year among other things (like gta5 on next gen but thats a topic for another day)
With only hrs away from COD AW release this is a good time to bring this up, what many dont know is that i believe this yr COD will bring the series up from its ashes poor performance and overall poor games since CODBO1. I feel that this yrs COD is the first real must have game of this yr and gen marking an important release that will be notable in the yrs to come. This yrs COD will be the first COD that has a 3 yr dev cycle and will have a next gen focus as last gen versions arent even being developed by the same team, along with having massive changes the biggest weve seen yet almost making it feel like a completely new franchise.
COD has been a really important franchise in the last 10yrs and has brought many people into gaming that other wise would of never joined with record sales and multiple mid 90s on meta. It has also been very heavily pro XB with its sales and advertising gaining timed DLC and superior graphics and performance (up until this gen) With a 1M plus lead the PS4 has gained on the XB1 since launch in the US many believe that the COD audience still belongs on the XB they believe that some how COD is almost exclusive to the XB brand.
I believe that its not, last gens sales were simply a result of the 360 having a much bigger userbase along with having the superior version all things that favor the PS4 now
