Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Any gen where you preferred the competitors console rather than your favorite company's?

At the start of last gen, I did like 360 at first and considered it a beter console than ps3 at that moment but got dissapointed due to RROD in 3 months after purchase. I replaced it inmediately for a PS3. At first I wasn't to happy with the ps3 but learned how to love it over the years. Since then I have been PS fan all over again.

Kind of the opposite for me XD
I consider the PS to be as good as or even better than the N64.

When I was a hardcore Nintendo fan I always liked the PS1 much more than the N64 and the PS3 much more than the Wii.

Yes, PS4 is better than Xbox One.

Long time Sony fan. Prefer the Wii U this gen.

Games are currently better. The Wii U offers something unique with the game pad. The amiibo has my interest piqued if Smash FPs can imitate my play style well enough. Bayonetta, Smash, Mario Kart, and Mario are the best in their respective genres and are all exclusive. Going forward the Wii U has the most interesting exclusives too: Open world Zelda, new Star Fox, X, Yoshi, and the newest Kirby. Price is cheapest too.

All of that plus the general letdown surrounding the consoles and their biggest releases would have made it an easy choice for me even if I didn't have a decent gaming PC.

Also, fully expecting Retro to announce the game they've been working on for almost a year now at the next E3. I'm really holding out for a new Metroid based Atmospheric First Person Shooter-Adventure with online multiplayer. They already had Prime, which was amazing and still looks great today, and it had multiplayer. If it had online it could have been as big as Halo. With the Wii U being Nintendo's first major step into online, the time is perfect for it.

PS3 last gen. Wii was better at first, but then the PS3 started getting awesome games!

Nope. Playstation wins out for me every gen. Though the 360 gave the PS3 a decent run.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

Nintendo to Sony, when the PS1 came out. Pretty much the only time I've ever changed my secondary mode of playing games (the first being PC).
