Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Any gen where you preferred the competitors console rather than your favorite company's?

Calling all those fanboys and biased people out there

I want to know exactly what the title say, anyone gen where you thought the competition's console was better than your company of choice?

For me it is the Sega Genesis, I like it sooo much better than SNES

No, PlayStation is the best.

No, in terms of Xbox, I love the OS and couldn't use anything else.

Nope, Nintendo has been solid every single gen with a ton of quality games. I've had every major console (and will eventually this gen) but every gen I wind up having the most games and the most fun on my Nintendo consoles. If I ever had to choose just one it would always be Nintendo, and always get Nintendo's next console day 1. I have never have been let down.

Funny I got 3 posts with each saying they always preferred Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo

Back then by 2001, I was a normal, unbiased Sony fan who was curious at the Xbox. I then went to my cousin's house who had both PS2 and Xbox. He decided to plug in and try the Xbox to show it to us. To their and my surprise, the machine wouldn't turn on. He kept trying and trying, but there was nothing on the screen. Also, the tray didn't want to open. My interest on the Xbox died that day.

Years later at high school, there were a couple of Xbox fans who were pretty nasty and... umm... you know. Thanks to their toxic hatred and their incessant bickering, my love to Sony consoles solidified. After that, I had no interest on any other console.but Sony's.

And that's that.

Nope. How can you go from PS1 to anything else. PS is the best :)

Nope. Never really thought any of the exclusive franchises for other consoles amounted to much compared to what PS consoles had to offer, and I don't care enough about non-gaming features, or online MP to be especially envious of those things.

Mass Effect was the only thing that made me jelly of Xb 360 and it ended up coming to PS3.

Oddworld franchise hopping from PS to Xb miffed me a bit, but not enough for me to think that Xbox was overall the better option than PS2.

If i genuinely believed a non PS platform would give me a better gaming experience than PS I would buy that platform...well maybe not Xbox. I don't have anything against Xbox per se, but I don't like Microsoft and I seek to minimise to the greatest extent possible the amount of money I give to MS.

So you don't like the whole xbox brand simply because your cousin had a faulty one?

I still have my og xbox from 2002 and it still works perfectly fine

I love Nintendo but I liked my Sega Genesis more than my SNES as well. As for the more modern consoles I found myself playing/favoring the X360 over the Wii.
