The ps4 needs a fitness game to achieve this. Who doesn't want to see people work out on a live stream.

The Wii has this in the bag.

PS4 needs a 25+ Million Year in 2015 which it doesnt (currently) have the software support for. They would need a GTA 6, Gran Turismo 7 or Dragon Quest XI. Uncharted, as much as I love it, isnt *that* much of a system seller.

this is fine though becasue sony are terrible at forecasting, so you may be correct.

 

They'll be wrong, like in everything they've been forecasting this last years... They projected 5m shipped ps4 around April 2014 and ended shipping around 3m more....and they forecasting some Xperia numbers very wrong too. So for better or worse, people in Sony don't seem to have any clue at making forecasting it seems.

I don't have faith in Sony as a company, as they are proving they're a mess, but I have faith in Playstation.

From the last known shipmnet number of 13.5m it is 10.5m - 11.5m for 24 to 25.

Right which dosent include Oct. I got the sense in your prior post you were saying from today Oct 31st until march the PS$ neded to sell 12 mil to reach 24.5 mil sold. If not then my mistake, i apologize.

That might be true, but how meaningfull is it given PS4 sales already.  Not much id say.

Last gen 360 and wii owners are picking up PS4, not having grannies buy is mostly irrelevent.

In my opinion PS4 have better support than Wii had in 2008...

Wii had in 2008...., Mario Kart Wii, Smash Brawl, Animal Crossing, Wii Music, along all the games that were already launched in 2007.... not bad games at all but PS4 will have....Bloodborne, The Order 1886, The Witcher 3, Battlefield Hardline, Batman Arkham Knight, Until Dawn, Uncharted 4, Battlefront 3, probably MGS 5, and of course the annual COD and AC game, along every new game announced at E3....

In my opinion PS4 will be a monster for games in 2015 way greater than Wii was in 2008.

Wii was cheaper than PS4 and not going with gimmicks like it did with motion controls by selling to casuals. Already PS4 did claim No 1 for first year with 400$ price tag and selling to gamers instead of casuals.



GAMING is not about spending hours to pass/waste our time just for fun,

its a Feeling/Experience about a VIRTUAL WORLD we can never be in real, and realizing some of our dreams (also creating new ones).

So, Feel Emotions, Experience Adventure/Action, Challenge Game, Solve puzzles and Have fun.

PlayStation is about all-round "New experiences" using new IP's to provide great diversity for everyone.

Xbox is always about Online and Shooting.

Nintendo is always about Fun games and milking IP's.

This, if true, it affects all the industry as whole..., but not PS4 by itself. People that buys a ps4 is not the same people that only plays games on smartphones and tablets, there are the same people that bought a X360 to play Gears of War, Halo 3, Mass Effect, Bioshock, Forza 3, during the first years of X360, or bought Wii to play something with their friends. Now most of that people are going to buy less different consoles, but will still buy a console, a ps4 in this case.
