I'd actually argue the wii had no competition. The only person i know who has a wii and no other 7th gen console is my sister and she literally just uses it to entertain guests lol

Most people had a wii plus another console. It wasn't an either or situation back then because the system was so different and equally cheap.

that's nice that you know one person who only had the one I know many who never got more than a wii, but anecdotal is anecdotal. back in 2007 the wii would sell consistently over $100 and more over MSRP on ebay and craigslist, so it wasn't always that cheap an option.

Something tells me you wouldn't have the same sentiments had this been a Wii thread celebrating a lead on the PS2, in the same time frame. But maybe I'm wrong.

Then again, I'm all for crediting what's current. The Wii doesn't need to be credited again, especially when talking about PS4 sales.

My sentiments are clear. I'm in awe by the Wii numbers, which is writed in my comment. Wherever you want to see behind it is not my problem.

And I don't see what's the problem with it considering the Wii is mentioned directly in the OP. There's no especific time to recognize the great and succesful machines, like the Wii.

As I said, there's not anything really wrong with crediting the Wii. It's how you went about it. Acting oblivious doesn't erase that.

Nothing wrong with how I went. Maybe it's better if you just ignore every comment does not congratulate Sony.
