I'd certainly believe it's 500-600K undertracked here in light of those numbers. Doing well. Their shipment reports are going to be high by the end of the year. Obviously it will not all have sold through, so maybe their sales will still be around the levels I expect, but it's looking like it will be even a million higher than I thought...

Ps3 should be nearing 90 million..... And wow at ps4 over 13.5 million as of late septemver... Absolutely unstoppable

We are well into the christmas selling season. Retailers will increase stock levels so doesn't necessarily mean under-tracking. Consoles are very seasonal with huge peaks in sales in November and December. Clearly retailers will increase stock levels just before this. If you don't see the same surge in shipment figures for xbox one and wii u its probably because there is still much more unsold stock in retail channels.

I disagree with the comment about ps3 winding down. Its sales are still very healthy ahead of 360 and wii u and in Europe its still a very significant format. I see the ps3 as in a very healthy position for a few years yet.

18m by January 1st doesn't seem so outrageous now. I honestly thought it would be 16.5m - 17m.

Well, until the end of FY11 PS3 had shipped 63.99 million and in FY11 itself they had shipped 13.9 million PS3's and 4.1 million PS2's. In FY12 they shipped 16.5 million combined PS2/3's, and now we know that in FY13 they shipped 7.1 PS3's and in FY14 so far they have shipped 1.6 million PS3's. 

I haven't worked out yet how to split up FY12 to get the PS3 shipments only in that year, however you can see that with only 4.1 million PS2's being shipped in FY11, we're probably only looking at around 2 million PS2's in FY12. If thats the case, then we can say that the PS3 is at 87.19 million.

TBH I totally forgot that we got combined PS2/PS3 numbers. That makes it harder. Thanks for the effort, I think we can at least safely say that PS3 is undertracked by a fair bit here, and weekly numbers should be hugher than they appear here too.

The irony witn all those massive undertrack numbers is the vgchartz has the face to coun't the other countries numbers exept the america europe and Japan even they don't can't catch the numbers on her own base lol

No. PS3 800k. PSV + PSP 700k. Both above Wii U, for reference. I think Vita is undertracked too. Where it's selling those numbers, I don't know.
