They shouldn't have bought a digital version.

They got full refunds from the physical as well.

All Hail the Jester King. The King is back, and I am still a dirty girl prof ;)

This is probably more of a deterrent against copycats considering to use that trick as well, rather than actually banning gamers who've already used that trick.

I am pretty sure there would be regions where banning users for the refund would be illegal.

For instance, if I were to state that "Product was not as advertised" in my refund and Microsoft banned me, I would be able to take legal action as Microsoft cannot override my consumer rights which protects consumers from false advertising.

I actually had to take that path against EA once, they ended up paying a fine, I got a refund, consumer wins.

Regardless of the platform, you'll find buyer's remorse.

That game is gonna win awards for being so disappointing.

I am so disapointed I cant stopped playing it close to 2 months after release. How long did Forza last you?

You can shout it as loud as you want that no one liked it, but that does not make you right. 60-70% or my friends list who got the game week one are still playing it. And any night I log on I can expect to have 25-30 friends on and at least 20 of them playing Destiny.

End of 2009 Predictions (Set, January 1st 2009)

Wii- 72 million   3rd Year Peak, better slate of releases

360- 37 million   Should trend down slightly after 3rd year peak

PS3- 29 million  Sales should pick up next year, 3rd year peak and price cut

bullshit.  its fraud.

they deserved banning.

If they aren't happy with the product there's nothing wrong with them asking for a refund. If Microsoft aren't going to check all the facts and everything before giving them out then that's their fault.

While that's true, there usually is a time period for refunds. In EU, that is 15 days from purchase on almost any product...

People asking for refunds 2 months later is not OK. Especially if their profile shows the game as completed or close to completion... They are just using the current commotion to trick MS into refunding them...

no, users have to make correct statements and employees aren't at fault to trust these statements

if it turns out to be a lie then that is fraud and the user is to be punished accordingly

And this is why you don't buy digital... or DLC

Banning for fraud is definitely not over the line. What is over the line however is getting rid of their digital licenses, that is awful considering that you OWN that copy. Unless buying digital on Xbox One means you don't actually own what you purchase, and Microsoft does and can take it away from you at their leisure.
