It actually DID exceed expectations? I thought it was quite disappointing.

Some people will still try to paint is as a flop, just watch.

considering how "efficient" W-Force is at popping out musou games there was hardly any doubt the game would rake in good profits

That sounds good and all, but they probably didn't expect too much from the game overseas..

Sounds like they didn't expect too much from it not-overseas, either. And by definition of the phrase "too much," not expecting that ought to be a good thing. :P

As much as I enjoyed HW, I don't want a sequel.
Once was enough, I have no desire for more.

I am having a lot of fun with the game, but I also don't want a Zelda sequel. I just hope that this opens the door to more collaborations, the Dragon Quest Heroes game also looks like a lot of fun and now the Wii U customer knows what to expect from the genre, it could be interesting that the game got ported (and maybe published by Nintendo on the west), is not like Nintendo consoles are not unfamiliar with that franchise.

They probably expected 600k in the West.

Good on the game for passing expectations BUT I am not sure if I really want a sequel. I enjoy Warriors games but too many in such a short time is bad.
Maybe add on packs in years time that adds a full games worth of content?
Or a sequel in no earlier than 2 years.

I agree, I've put in over 100 hours in Hyrule Warriors, with easily 50 hours to go. If they release a sequel in a year I will have to do it all over again lol.

all ok then? but.. wasn't Koei Tecmo who expected a million units sold for the game? something is wrong here

No, they said they would like it to sell 1 mil worldwide. They never gave out their actual expected to sell only what they would like to see.
