Mario 64 was a Maser piece, But I really enjoyed Sunchine and find it very fresh in the series
Ocarina of Time was another master piece but Wind Waker is a great game too and has aged better
Mario Kart 64.. I'm sorry but I don't understand the love for this game for me one of the worst in the series, I played alot more Diddy Kong Racing. Mario Kart DD is one of my top 3 in the series and the most original
Fzero was way better in the Cube
Starfox case is strange, Both are from the same saga but not being the same genre.. Lylat Wars was more arcade shooter and Adventures...well the title says i all
N64 has Banjo, Killer Instint, Shadowman, Goemon, Goldeneye, Perfect Dark, Conker, Turok,
GC has, Pikmin, Animal Crossing, Eternal Darkness, Rogue Squadron, Resident Evil,Viewtiful Joe, Metroid Prime
Both are great machines with great games. But I think people shoose N64 for 2 things
1º it has 2 Master Pieces (Mario 64 & OoT) well recogniced for everyone
2ª N64 has most mature taste. The graphics the art style and the games seems to be more mature and the GC one more childish and people take em less serious
Despite the fact that N64 graced the gaming world with Super Mario 64 as a launch game and gave us two stellar Zelda titles, I'd still go with the 'Cube overall.
Would be an interesting idea for a thread to start with 20 points...and then allocate them amongst Nintendo's consoles.
for example...
nes 2
snes 5
n64 8
gc 3
wii 1
wii u 1
total= 20
This wouldn't be an elimination game, but rather a one time vote. Negative voting wouldn't be allowed, but all points could be put onto one console if that's the way you feel about it. I'd make the thread, but I'm hit or miss at to the times when I'm actually on here.

For me that would go:
nes 2
snes 6
n64 3
gc 1
wii 5
wii u 3
total= 20

ha...mine is definitely not representative of what I would choose...I just threw in numbers really quick. But I'd love to see everyone's.
I have had immense fun with both consoles, but Gamecube wins. More games and better versions of games.

N64. Nearly all the games in the Cube's side are garbage compared to the 64's.
Ask stefl1504 for a sig, even if you don't need one.
Like it's battle. This is my favourite Nintendo console of all time versus my least favourite Nintendo console of time.
Mario 64 against Mario Sunshine? Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask against Wind Waker? Star Fox 64 against Adventure and Assault? Mario Kart 64 against Double Dash? And loads more, not to mention the plethora of classics Rare brought to the table. Nintendo basically ruined almost every big franchise when compared to it's N64 predecessor with each GameCube entry, with only a few examples like Metroid (which N64 never got so obviously) and Smash.
I'd also go as far to say that GameCube is one of the biggest reasons for Nintendo's (negative, 'kiddy') image. My personal interest in Nintendo was fading during that generation, and I became primarily a PC gamer. Until Nintendo brought me back with Twilight Princess and the Wii's classics.
Yeah, N64 by an avalanche.
