shite is still shite regardless of who makes it.

Why should I give a flying fuck about MS's finacials every quarter as a gamer? Just because a decision is rational doesn't mean its beneficial to me as a consumer, I don't work for Microsoft, why should I care about how much money they make. Especially, when they can't even put that money into supporting a product I paid for.

Oh boo hoo, XB cost them a billion dollars, doesn't MS make close to around that annually? Oh, please. If the investors get cranky distract them with Windows sales or something.

Hell, they can't even support the 9th year of the 1# US console of last gen, why should I expect any different this gen. Oh sure they are trying now, but if you really believe they are gonna keep this "in it to win it" charade after 2015, you're in for a r00d awakening. God help US if they close the Gap in the US, cause they'd probably take it easy sooner.

Seriously, its like a bad joke or something, I'm supposed to buy doing anything to stay competitive when they've quit before.

But I guess that's the difference between Xbox fans and Microsoft Xbox fans.

You're bitter for some reason I don't even know.

This year 360 owners got Titanfall, Project Spark, Forza Horizon 2, Max, Fable Anniversary and the usual Arcade galore.

So much for no support.

It does sound bitter doesn't it, unfortunately its true, and even worse still I don't have that same adoration for the company to simply ignore it.

Oh wow, a couple of ports and indies on the 9th year of the #1 console in the US, where did all that infinite money go?

Not the best way to say it, but I agree regardless. When people say Microsoft, I always associate them with Windows and business software because... well, that's what they are known for. That's their forte, cream of the crop. Xbox.... well not so much. The way that MS has supported the core gamers over the past few years was pathetic in comparison to what Sony did before this gen began. Didn't matter if MS made record breaking profits (where most of them were attributed to products not related to the Xbox...). They did not treat the core right and that got really pronounced during the X1 reveal. Even without the DRM fiasco, the X1 reveal was marred with things that weren't gaming related. Money can't buy you the goodwill of the consumers.

There are benefits to having a more profitable company (verses one that looses cash) for the consumer.

For Instance... Microsoft can invest more in it's online infrustructure. (I bet you're wishing for THAT now since the PS4's release and you still have to pay for it!)
Microsoft are also throwing in Azure servers in Australia now.
I won't go into the peering arrangements Microsoft has done via Akami, which are bloody fantastic, resulting in lower latency and higher throughput.

And big franchises, like Minecraft. - 2.5 Billion dropped like it's nothing, if Microsoft plays that particular card right sometime in the future... There could be 10's of millions of children foaming at the mouth the world over that will be at the gates waiting to part with their parent's hard earned cash.

Converesly, if something catastrophic occurs, Microsoft has more financial backing to rectify it and support those customers affected. (I.E. RROD or the Great Sony hack.)

Well from what I believe, Xbox focused everything on the Xbox One launch which explains why it offered a greater AAA library then the PS4 and is still coming out with more games. After the XB1 launch, notice that the 360 is still getting games like Fable Anniversary, Titanfall, Forza Horizon 2 and many more while if you look at the PS3 I cant think of any exclusive AAA that has released for it apart from the upcoming LBP3.

I think its a smart move to focus on next gen then worrying about last gen, Imagine if TLOU was designed as a launch title for the PS4? The sooner we all move away from last gen the better. 9 years of a great console and people still complain that it doesn't get any support... lol honestly the console lasted freaking 9 years! and is still getting games in 2014.

Microsoft's last few years on X360 was a shame. Its the main reason i feel Xbox as a brand is questioned by many people. Luckily they seem to havve gotten back on the right path but its a shame they ever took the wrong path in the first place

I was a 360 owner and I certainly noticed PS4 getting all these games with 360 getting nothing. I was a gears fan and I skipped judgement I hate prequels. It was one of the reasons I moved over to Sony.

They offered a better triple AAA experience in the begining and then they slowed to a halt after release. Titan Fall and that was it. While PS4 got Infamous,MLB,Last of us remake and all the indie titles that were being released at the same time.

Looking at upcoming games for PS4 and X1 you noticed a big difference with X1 getting one game a month and PS4 getting like 3-4.

Welllllll.... The Dreamcast was released in 1998 and it was still getting games even in 2014. It has not even been in production for over a decade!

Heck, the Playstation 2 got Pro Evolution Soccer 2014 if you can call it a game, last year.
Still, the Xbox One and Playstation 4 consoles have only been around for a year, so it's only natural for people wanting their old console to still be supported with the latest and greatest games. - And really, I hope they get that kind of support, Console gamers really have no right to complain about old hardware holding them back anyway, that would just be setting double standards.

As much as a I hate this fanboy thread, please don't say nonsense.

2014 was a horrible year for Sony in terms of exclusives.

How can you say Xbox didn't get nothing after Titanfall? Project Spark, Killer Instinct S2, Forza Horizon 2, Sunset Overdrive and indie titles; coming soon: Halo MCC and Ori.

When you look at upcoming titles you won't see any date confirmed for X1 releases and Xbox has bunch of AAA for 2014. Quantum Break, Tomb Raider, Halo5, Screamride, Fable,  possibly Forza 6,etc...
