Just nicked this off GAF:

November: XB1 launches
March: Titanfall, the biggest MS exclusive of the year, bundled free with every XB1 purchase. Bundle temporarily drops to $450
April: Forza 5 bundled for free
May: XB1 gets a new $399 SKU, removes Kinect, for June.
August: Madden bundled for free, FIFA and Forza bundled for free.
September: get a free game on top of bundled free games, includes any recent game like Destiny.
October: Sunset Overdrive bundled for free
November: $50 price cut across all bundles, Two-pack Assassins Creed Bundle and Call of Duty bundled with XB for free.

vs

November: PS4 launches at $399
September: Destiny bundle launches at $450, saving the consumer $15

MS need/want US badly. This is great for the consumer and Sony will need to react to maintain their lead in the US.

If all those previous pricecuts and deals MS had didnt get Sony to react what makes you think this $50 pricecut will? Sony has very little to worry about sense everything MS has done in the past few months has done nearly nothing to help the XOne catch up to the PS4.

It's the holiday season. I do believe though that if MS dont when either Nov or Dec NPD, they won't win one at all except for when Halo 5 and Gears launch.

150 dollar drop in less than a year. This is why you don't buy a the wrong console at launch XD

Fixed that for you.

I get that MS will get a boost from the pricecut and holiday season but I dont see why you think Sony will rush out to match the XOnes price when the PS4 is selling extremely well right now. If the PS4 keeps selling more than the XOne (Which it most likely will) I dont see why Sony will have to match the price right now.

To bury the X1.  Now I am not saying Sony will match X1's price any time soon, but it isn't a dumb idea.  Supposedly the PS4 at this point costs the same or less to make than the X1 does.  Why give MS any breathing room?  Sony could use PS2 levels of domination right now.

This is the right price for the Kinect SKU, Kinectless needs to drop to $300.

I still think $299 is the price its should be. With free game of course.

Maybe next year.

Definitely next year. At the rate MS is going we could even see 249 next holiday

Now that's a deal, I might be tempted to buy one now over the PS4! O_o
