no its physically impossible, Vita is currently at 9 million, let's say 10 million by the end of the year. for 3DS to have 90% market share, it would need to be at 90 million by the end of the year.

I'm more fascinated by how you thought it WOULD work if you thought his math was wrong.

Basically, you are predicting the 3DS will outsell the iPhone 6 in the next 3 months.  It'd be hard enough for it to outsell the Samsung Galaxy S5, let alone the iPhone.

Wait... there is something off about the math... the 3ds is at 45 million and it has 83% market share so it shouldn't need double the amount to reach 90% right? But I might be wrong cause its too early for me loll but something seems off

The math is exactly right (well, it'd be generous to Vita to say it'll be 10 million by the end of the year, but let's assume it doesn't sell ANYTHING and is still at 9 million).  The 3DS would still need to be at 81 million.  Think about it: the only way to reduce Vita's share from 17% to 10%, short of having people actively trade them in for a 3DS, is to grow the market by about 70% so that 17 turns into 10.
