Nah, I collect movies by director. I don't really have a favorite actor atm, although Christoph Waltz has caught my attention, he's crazy good, at least in Inglorious basterds, Django unchained and The zero theorem.

I'm mostly a director kind of guy, like the peeps above.

I do have a lot of the older movies with De Niro though, and not just the ones with Scorsese.

I'd say that Directors are more important than actors, but there are a few actors whose movies I pay attention to more than others (Michael Fassbender, Edward Norton, Bill Murray, Harrison Ford, Tom Hardy...)

I dont really collect movies but my favorite actor is leonardo dicaprio. Specially since most of the movies hes been in are awesome cause of the script and directors

Why though? If you really like your favourite actor's performances in certain films, wouldn't you want to see all of the different kinds of roles that they have taken over the course of their career?

I didn't like Leonardo in the 90s really as he was pretty much just the pretty boy. But man, he has become one of my favourites. I am wondering why he hasn't received an oscar yet.

In terms of actors my favourite has to be either sean connery or christian bale.

I pay more attention to directors, they normally stay more consistent than actors. Christopher Nolan for the most part makes amazing movies and Michael Bay makes....yeah...lol
