Same thing happened with CoD4, but that was probably more due to a lot of people buying it and their PS3 just happened to die while playing. I've never had a problem with it.
Consider this your only warning skeezer: do not make misleading thread titles.
It's fine you have a concern about your PS3 but lets try to not make such a misleading thread title next time.

Dude!!!! I've seen your post, stating the exact same thing, on two other gaming sites. What gives? Why you spamming multiple sites with this stuff?

They actually do a very good job with this (in the UK at least) I have had two PS3s break on me (only 1 totaly fatal) and have arranged to swap over my PS3 for a refurbished launch console within a few days. Just make sure you back-up your saves, I lost much of mine when my first one broke
COD3 is pretty crap anyway.

It was not Call of Duty 3, it was Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare for the PS3. COD4 had problems for the PS3 when the game launched for some PS3 users, for example: lagging in online games. Sony made a firmware update for that game and it runs smoothly.
Call of Duty 3 never had any problems on the PS3, maybe you made this thread to troll or what. But whatever the reason was just make sure you keep your thread title more mature.
Its because its made by Treyarch, go put in CoD4 and it will automatically fix your PS3!
