Looking back at that old thread is interesting. A lot of people predicting PS4 and X1 sales a lot closer than how it has panned out.

Shipment guesses:

PS4: 20.0
X1: 11.8
Wii U: 10.9

It's looks like people are really very optimistic ...so according to some people xbox one is going to sell close to6 million units between now and dec 31 lol naw it's not gonna happen and before anyone say I'm a troll or fanboy I own all three systems .........also 7 million ps4s sold by the end of year is stretching it also I see maybe 4 or 5 million unless the grand theft auto bundles boom

Looking back at my old prediction, I was being too optimistic at the time ...

For shipment I expect:

PS4 - 17.3
X1 - 10
WII U - 9

3DS - 48.5
Vita - 9.5

It's 4.5m shipped, easily achieveable.

Not like we'll get to know exact shipping numbers for the PS4/X1 anyway. :/

I don't understand why Sony continue to combine the numbers.

Probably so they can keep doing the same for Vita and PSP, PSP is probably very low tho now so I don't see the point of that either.

Microsoft released their quarterly ...it stated 2.4 million xbox ones and 360s were shipped between July and September ...I'm not sure if they are going to ship 4 or 5 million consoles this holiday due to the fact there are a lot of xbox ones already on the shelves....

They're doing it all to hide poor PS Vita performance, who knows who they're trying to fool with this, I'm pretty sure this is also why we hardly get any Sony PR with NPD, mostly just a tweet with 'hey, we're still first guys', if they released a real PR statements they'd probably have to mention the abysmal Vita performance too.

I'm just waiting for them to say 'fuck it all, let's combine all Playstation hardware into the PS Family". One has to praise Nintendo for that, they are extremely transparent with their shipment numbers, no matter how bad they may be.

XO: 11.5 million
WiiU: 11 million

3DS: 53 million
