Monster Rancher!!!!!!!!!

Some of you might remember 15 years ago, a game called Monster Rancher 2 was released in PS.... IMO the best Monster Rancher Game.

I spent hundreds and hundreds of hours in this game probably having centuries in the in-game calendar.

with a tons of secrets in the game, and those time where you dig CDs to generate monster.

The first time you put a weird nickname, that you probably use in your messenger id...

The first time you generate a monster and decide to raise him

The time where you only give him potato to save money

The time you first battle and does not understand the mechanics

The first time you won a battle

The first time you sent you monster to errantly and get a new technique

The first time you had a dead monster....and got a  wracky

The first time you had a phoenix!

The First time you have weird monster like mock! Undine! beaclon!!!! a fucking beaclon!

The time you had an alien visitor...

The first time you became a master!

The first time you got a monster with ??? as a sub-type

I can go on and on and How i miss Monster Rancher so much and wish it would be active in this generation (finger cross for 3DS)

I hope they would go back to the basic of raising a single monster at a time.... freezing, mixing, unfreezing, etc etc

Would you buy a new monster rancher if they release a new game?

Also liked Magi-Nation. Pokemon with a bit more of a western feel and better story.

Yes!! I love this series, MR2 was the best monster rancher ever made. I remember playing hundreds of hours, raising my Big Blue (Golem+Tiger) or my Pixie+Golem.

And I remember putting the metal gear solid disc and having a special monster (gaboo i think?) it was like a jelly with a bandana.

I need to play that game ASAP

Well I remembered they died a lot like my Digimon monsters in that Ps one game..

Their was one Monster Rancher on DS where you had to speak to create monsters and their is a Iphone game of it =p.

Monster Rancher never took off because it had no Evolution mechanic. Not saying you need to need to have evolution, as popular as it is in a monster game, but if you choose not to... You better have some damn good monster design and not just that but Monster design that shows off various power diffrences between monsters which I dont think Monster Rancher did well at all. Alot of monsters are very generic looking, even dragon's are plain.
