The huge exclusive Singstar has gone up on PSN. This should attract the casuals in their millions to the PS4. So much so that in  years to come we will be saying the 140M the PS4 sold was mainly down to casuals. 

All jokes aside I had no idea this game was releasing and just seen it there while pre ordering another game. Wonder what the sales will be like and I wonder if SOny will even have a single add for this game. I remember Buzz and Singstar used to be big enough to warrent ad campaigns. It could sell a few over Xmas considering it's the kinda thing a parent or friend might buy as a present for xmas. You know not all parents buy their 8 year old kids GTA! 

This thread will prob not get any posts at all but if anyone has anything to say fire away! What do you expect of Singstar? 

honest question: Is this franshise strong?

used to be on the PS2 but honeslty that wouldn't take much considering it's massive sales. On the PS3 SIngstar is on the XMB automatically so that might have pushed a few downloads. 

Very strong in Europe. Dunno about other places.

It's huge in Europe. Not so much anywhere else.

Call me weird (because I am) but I used to love singstar growing up.
Would not touch it now though, not unless they add music I like... yeah no even then I would struggle. While I enjoy many genres I have 4 faves, KPop, Vocaloid, Nightcore and Metal. So yeah 3 of the 4 I would struggle like a bitch to sing =P

Well, now that you can use any smartphone as a mic I'll be playing it much more often. Only thing is the price of the songs and the library. Still need to see if it's worth waiting on packs or getting certain songs individually.

Singstar could grow again this generation due to PS4's popularity with the masses. Do you need mics?

Can you go on your PS4 and see if it's a free download? Actually you know what I think it is. But obviously you'd buy the songs then.
