Mario Kart 8 VS Super Smash Bros. preorder/pre-order numbers according to VGChartz.

This thread will be updated until the week of Super Smash Bros. U's release!

For now:

5 week before release: Smash Bros wins by 36,930 preorders/pre-orders.

You got the letters of some words in the wrong order (thread, release).

When you use "will be ", you have to use the perfect tense of the verb. That's the bolded one of the three (present, past, perfect): update, updated, updated; in case of an irregular verb like 'see' (see, saw, seen), the correct tense is also the last one, so 'seen'.

The present tense of a verb for the he/she/it pronouns gets an S added to its end. 'Smash Bros.' can be replaced with 'it', so it 'wins'. There are a few exceptions to this rule that concern verbs that end with certain vowels. For example, 'go' and 'do' change to 'goes' and 'does', so watch out for an O. Verbs that end with a Y (treated like a vowel here) change to -ies; examples include 'try > tries' and 'apply > applies'.

Thanks.

Nice to see Smash's preorders are way better than shown on the previous Updates. Now the question is how far it can reach especially now after the last Nintendo Direct.

On a side note, Bayonetta 2 got more preorders than the first one did on PS3 and Xbox 360 combined

MK8 Preorders #undertrekt.

Hopefully smash does this

What is this even from?

Smash Bros. will get more pre-orders but less sales than MK8. That's the nature of the game.

Impressive, even for VG numbers.

I think it's incredible how the preorders have leapt up. 3000, 21,000 now 43,000 - it will be interesting what effect yesterday's Direct will have.

That surprising to me. How high will it go? i guess 303K on the week of release.

IMHO, Above 400K.

I have always said that will close the MK8 number, but for me Smash can sell even 500K-600K first week in USA.
(in USA, globally even 1,2-1,5 M)

The game should do amazing perhaps it will even outsell MK8 in the long run, if it will defeat melee will be remain to be seen, the 3ds version might even defeat brawl, combined it's already a given they will outsell Brawl. The pre-order number of smash will be about 75k higher in the end mainly due to the fact that the WII U sold reasonable due to MK8 and therefore the userbase is (a little bit) bigger.

srry for the doublepost hit quote instead of edit.

Please excuse my (probally) poor grammar
