for a game that i will never ever trade in, ive got mine on digital preload.

Since Halo 3 sold like 12m, Halo 4 and halo reach 10m each and there isnt even 10m Xbox Ones sold yet then 90% wouldnt even be close.  And if you were to believe that then you would think that Halo MCC is going to have a 100% attach ratio this holiday.

However, of course some people are buying the Xbox One because the promise of Halo.  Just like people are buying the PS4 for the promise of Uncharted 4, or WiiU the promise of Smash Bros 4.  Yet in all three of these situations you can expect big boosts when these games releases.

I don't think too many people have bought a PS4 for uncharted. It will sell well but it's comparable to gears series not halo. And yes i know what those games sold but I believe the halo sales this gen will be lower for X1 since their install base will likely be lower.

What does most of a boost even mean? All of Halo 5's HW boost will be Halo 5 week. Plain and simple. And obviously a Halo 5 console is launching next year to help that boost.

I said the Halo boost. S the number of people getting the X1 for the series as a whole. A lot of Halo 5 buyers will have gotten the X1 before Halo 5 releases. So I'm saying the boodt next year will be a lot smaller than it would have been because a lot of them will get it now for the MCC.

 i'd say that was more to do with RROD causing people to rebuy it. Why do you think MS banned a shit tin of people for jtag or something like that, everytime the new cod was coming around? Because they knew most of them would buy another. 360 sales were inflated big times in a number of ways. Anyway you won't have that with the X1 before halo 5. 

 

Look at the boost Halo 3 in the US. Wasn't it like 300k for 1 week alone? I highly dount the Halo 5 boost will be anything like Halo 3. Especially considering the MCC is out a full year before.

are you denying that people didn't rebuy consoles because they were banned and or had gotten the RROD? I know a lot of people got replacements but a lot of people didn't and bought a new one.

1st PS gamers would have converted to Halo a long time ago if they wanted to.

2nd people are waiting for the improved PS4 version of this bundle!

I suppose VGChartz could be undertracking this game, but I doubt that the discrepancy can't be that great.  I would assume that this game won't move too much consoles either.   Everyone who would be interested in this game has already played this game.  I'm not sure I would prioritize spending $60 to play a game I've already played when there are too many NEW games to play in November such as COD AW, Far Cry 4, AC Unity, Sunset Overdrive, Dragon Age, Civilization Beyond Earth, LittleBigPlanet3, and the Crew (Dec).  Most people has finite amount of cash.

Last of Us converted Xbox gamers to come over to the PS4.  However, I don't think Halo MCC will convert PS gamers to the Xbox1. 

doesn't include digital pre-order.... I have MCC install on my Xbox One already :)
