yeah way too high. basically i'm saying most of it's boost will come long before halo 5 week. which over all is a pretty big boost. imagine how small sales would be of the X1 if Halo never existed. 


What does most of a boost even mean? All of Halo 5's HW boost will be Halo 5 week. Plain and simple. And obviously a Halo 5 console is launching next year to help that boost.

Well, we heard that one before with Halo ODST, which moved consoles, Halo: Reach which moved consoles and even Halo 4 which moved consoles.


i's say that was more to do with RROD causing people to rebuy it. Why do you think MS banned a shit tin of people for jtag or something like that, everytime the new cod was coming around? Because they knew most of them would buy another. 360 sales were inflated big times in a number of ways. Anyway you won't have that with the X1 before halo 5. 

 

Look at the boost Halo 3 in the US. Wasn't it like 300k for 1 week alone? I highly dount the Halo 5 boost will be anything like Halo 3. Especially considering the MCC is out a full year before.

People whine about this being undertracked too damn much. VGC is ball-parking an estimate, but it's probably about right. It's still the most pre-ordered console game announced at E3 2014.

New Smash and CoD games are bigger releases. Get over it.



I predict NX launches in 2017 - not 2016

well according to the probably about right estimations by VGC, MCC is higher than smash now after the adjustments.

Sure CoD will be bigger, but it is bigger than every other SKU anyway.
