The gap is only 2.2 million... considering that GTA V on PS3 will sell some like 2 million this year (2014), nd i think that will have good legs (even after PS4 version), i think that by 2016, GTA V on PS3 will sell more than GTA: SA on PS2.

(Also, other question, the SA number in Europe and R.W are...strange... better 10,57m in Europe and 400K in R.W )

Actually a pretty decent prediction, but it will eventually happen. So the question is not if, but when will GTA V surpasses SA.

agreed.  SA is the worst 3d GTA in my opinion.  Also it still has the holidays to sell this year so it could get another boost from that before the year is out and maybe make it more manageable

It's not that much of a bold prediction, but it's nice to see it on a dedicated thread. I started thinking the same since GTA V got to 15M pretty quickly on PS3. With the holidays + the next years in the gen, this game will pass that mark without breaking a sweat. Impressive indeed.

That games was a massive success everywhere. Until today, it's the best GTA. Both IV and V falled short of reaching the quality of the open world that SA had. Leaving Los Santos and driving all the way to find Las Venturas was amazing.

That's what I was thinking.  Did most of its European sales get lumped into the worldwide numbers by mistake?
