This is my 2nd comment

So just because Halo 4 was released a bit earlier than TLOU it is OK? Interesting viewpoint. Where do you draw the line? It seems 1.5 years is not OK but 2 years is OK. 1.75 years?

Also your second comment says that you've never seen this happen this much. You are talking about the quantity of the releases. Basically you are saying that one GOTY edition is OK but 2 is not. You probably forgot the GOTY edition of Halo 4 there.

Halo 4 GOTY was $40. Halo MCC comes with Halo CEA, Halo 2A, Halo 3, Halo 4, every single DLC/PC map from all 4 games and a Halo 5 beta for $60. Halo MCC is fan-service. 2 GOTY editions of the same game in the same year at $50 is milking.

TLOU GOTY editions are cheaper as well. The price is determined by its content value. In Halo MCC some old games were thrown in the package to increase the appeal. The game is also full price. It is normal I'd say. They didN't even include a second disk in the package.

Oh come on. This is a bad practice in general, and a lot of companies do this. This is getting pretty excessive too, its only been little over a year after milking this particular title with Season Passes, DLC not on Season Passes, a Remaster, and now a GotY edition. This is too much, irregardless of the game's value in such a short time frame. Might as well never buy a game "new" from Naughty Dog if you're going to expect to get this sort of nonsense in such short order.

If you want to do "Platinum" or "(Insert Company Here) Selects" after years of being on the market, at a discounted price... sure. It brings old games back to attention of people. But this is just greed.

So you're okay with them offering the base game cheaper, but not with them offering the whole package cheaper than the individual parts? Seems somewhat contradictory.

The GOTY is intended purely for those who haven't played the game before. This isn't like TLOU:R, where there is some value to owners of the PS3 version. There is absolutely NO incentive to buy this if you own the original. It's intended purely for those that haven't played the game previously, and i see nothing wrong with that. Just like how i see nothing wrong with Nintendo's overpricing of old titles. It's their game, thus their choice to do what they want with it. Just like it's my choice to buy or not buy something.

This is basically The Last of Us Remastered with less appealing graphics.

And with cinematic 18-26 FPS when more than 1 enemy is on screen. (18-26 is more cinematic than 60)

Should have gotten "Interactive movie of the year" awards instead.

You're still calling this a movie? lol shows how much you know off the game. I love the feelings this game brings out by some.

Someone didnt get the Ubisoft memo   oh well......

And btw (read with monotone/Terminator voice)
I am sincerely hurt about what you said and I am shocked how I am such an open book to you and that you know better how much time i spend with TLoU than I do.

I truly want to understand their viewpoint. I seriously do. But still I don't see the reason why would anyone be opposed to the idea of selling a game cheaper than it used to with more content?

If someone is against this, they should be against the idea of selling games after a year too. I mean who is going to buy a 1 year old game. That is milking!.

The amount of non-PS gamers butthurted with this game is too damn high.

TLOU a movie?

Please go back to /v/ or go play your dudebro, multiplayer game with no lore or plot

This.

Just because you have an opinion doesn't mean you are necessarily right.

TLoU truly deserves some props for riling up the fans of the competition..

I don't see a problem with a TLoU GoTY edition for the PS3 especially since this could mean TLoU2 is in development! Also whats up with TLoU having no gameplay; how many of ya'll actually touched the game to make such a claim? The real time crafting, durability of items, scavenging, limited open world, mix of stealth & action was perfect & complimented the pace of the story perfectly IMO. Just cause it looks great when there's dialogue doesn't mean its the representation of the game lol damn. I'll say this about the story though: when I beat the TLoU: Remastered on the PS4 I wasn't as engrossed as I was the first time. Granted it's still a great story but when I replay the game its to beat it on Survival/ Grounded as well as getting all the collectibles & sonning that platinum. Not to mention the limited time I played online, it felt uniquely different!

Halo 4: release 2012
Halo 4 GOTY: release 2013
Halo 4 (MCC): release 2014

Wow, triple dipping hurrdurrphurr

TLOU: 2013

TLOUR: 2014

TLOU GOTY: 2014

See the difference?

Also, Halo 4 is 1 of the four games and beta being released at $60. And its GOTY Edition was $40.

Eh, it's not like other GOTYs haven't got a GOTY edition as well. I'm sure you didn't call it double dipping then. How exactly is bundling the game with all the additional content another dip?? It's the same game still in a complete package.

And porting it to a newer platform is not an additional dip either...
