Yup. 10 million guaranteed. Probably will be 10 million by this year.

Triple dipping? Wow.

What's wrong with a GOTY edition? They're just full content versions of the original, intended to entice those who haven't bought it yet. They usually replace the original version.

Heck, TLOU:R was essentially a GOTY edition for PS4 owners. It was a good move, too. A lot of PS4 owners never had the chance to play TLOU since they didn't own a PS3.

This is basically The Last of Us Remastered with less appealing graphics.

And with cinematic 18-26 FPS when more than 1 enemy is on screen. (18-26 is more cinematic than 60)

Should have gotten "Interactive movie of the year" awards instead.

I guess you won't be getting MCC then.

Sure I will, It just seems like overkill when one game releases 3 times in 1 n a half years. I understand GOTY editions happen, I've just never seen it happen this much.

And 68 million of the remaining 75 million PS3 owners who don't have a PS4 or TLOU also have the chance to by the complete package at a pretty cheap price.

Fact of the matter is the vast majority of PS3 and PS4 owners don't own TLOU, and they've never played it. There is absolutely nothing wrong with trying to entice more people to buy the game. They are actually not trying to convince people who already own the game to buy it a 2nd or 3rd time.

Comments like "triple dipping" are just pathetic.

I wouldn't consider them 'pathetic', just a tad small minded.

I can understand someone saying TLOU:R is double dipping, since many of us did buy it for a 2nd time (for various reasons). That may not have been the central purpose of Sony making it, but they'll have been aware of the additional sales that would be generated by such people. This on the other hand is purely a content repackaging, intended to appeal to those who have yet to play it. There's absolutely no incentive for anyone who owns the original to buy it, nor are they meant too.

Anyone who compares its value to the MCC is pathetic.  MCC actually has effort applied.

I know plenty of people that simply watched the game on twitch the first day it released.  Its gameplay is nothing special, people just like it for its story.  Nothing wrong with that, but comments like "Game of the Generation" are ridiculous.
