Maybe you should put down the games and put more effort into socializing. With so many consoles and games, you don't feel the pressure to go out because you're perfectly happy at home.

I have a lot of video games (more then most), but I rarely play them. I got my WiiU 4 months ago and maybe put in 5-6 hours (4-5 of which were playing Mario Kart with friends). I'm trying to make more sacrifices with my games, there is a lot of good stuff, but since I have so little time to play it I often feel games are like a chore. I.E. Beat one to play the next. I don't want to do that, so I personally have been backing off on what I buy (mostly play 90's games now since they are the best and I want to beat them before I'm old and maybe a parent).

Anyway, why do I love my WiiU? Mario Kart 8 is awesome, plus Nintendo delivers a lot of quality games. I'm hyped for XenoBlade and Starfox, and even though I'm only hyped for a couple WiiU games, to me it's worth spending $300 on a console for as I'd rather play the best games possible with the time I have then the best games possible on my console.

I own a 3DS as well, and plan to get a PS4, XB1 and Vita eventually for Uncharted, Gears of War and more Uncharted.

It makes me happy.

Right now, it honestly has more games I want to play than the PS4 and Xbox One combined, and Nintendo hasn't even brought out all of its big guns yet. Edit: And I actually like the Gamepad enough that I haven't bothered to get a Pro Controller.

I own a PS4 as well, but I bought that to get the eventual Square Enix and Namco games as well as games like Bloodborne. I couldn't care less about Destiny, or annual EA/Acti/Ubi sequels.

Because it has Nintendo games on it

The great games and the gamepad.

Me too. I love big controlers, so to me the gamepad is the more confortable controler of all. I even bought Batman Arkhan Origins for the WiiU cause I think it is nicer to play on it than in the PS3.

My grammar errors are justified by the fact that I am a brazilian living in Brazil. I am also very stupid.

1. Wii backward compatibility

2. Off screen play. Playing my games when the TV is in Use

3. Awesome internet browser is amazing

4. Dual screen local multiplayer is a dream of mine since my kidhood especially with sniper games like black ops 2

5. The best mario Kart ever

6. No silly creepy kids to make creepy comments and breathe heavily into their microphones while I play my games.

7. Exclusive (real exclusive) games that I can't get on my pc and would only feel right on the Wii U

8. The joys of family gaming which I have only succeeded with on the Wii U.

9. I don't have to try and be cool with my Wii U and I own it regardless of what people think or no matter how many people ask "what's that thing". My ps3 was a ps3 and everyone knew it. Nothing special or unusual there.

many more but I listed the above 9 off the top of my head and I don't really want to think anymore.

I don't love it yet, but that will change when I get super mario 3d world, smash bros and legend of zelda to go along with mario kart 8 and pikmin 3.

exclusive are awesome.
indie too
gamepad for interneting.
off play tv (even for netflix)
everything on it seems brightfull, colorfull, happy.

i have never played so much as now with wii U. Im really happy with this.

Awesome thread idea, great replies guys.

What I like most about the WiiU is that Nintendo is doing everything they would be doing if the WiiU was a bonafide success. They're not treating it as any less of a console despite the sales.. I hope it pays off.
The WiiU, as every Nintendo system before it is something unique in the gaming world, something irreplaceable. A portal into a time when gaming was really really good, when games were simpler yet harder, when they were more intuitive and friendly in design and had vivid palettes. That and everything this brings, from the games to the community.
