I absolutely love playing off-screen. I'm naturally a handheld kind of person (playing the game on the controller) and I love the off-screen gameplay so much because it keeps my TV running. Usually I have TV shows or music going while jumping through some matches on CoD: Ghosts or other games. It's so neat plugging in some headphones to get the full music experience from the game as well. I'm playing through some Skyward Sword and you can use the gamepad to play on it (without a sensor bar!). Everything about the Gamepad is awesome - the resolution isn't even that bad either.

As for Miiverse, I absolutely love that as well. You're able to send quick messages to your friends and speak out your opinions on your favorite games. Definitely the #1 go-to media for Nintendo players. Wii U chat is also very fun to play around with if you've got friends.

Wii U graphics are as great as expected. They deserve no complaints.

Software will overload the system in 2015, bringing it to a newer and better era than the previous years.

All in all, it's a great system. My favorite thing about it is the gamepad.

I'm gonna sound unoriginal, but Virtual Console and Nintendo exclusives are a major part of it. I remember when the Wii U was first unveiled, my thought process was, "Well, I'll be getting this eventually, let's see what it has at launch.". And boom, what do you know, it had nothing particularly interesting for me at launch. Maybe next year. I was in the computer lab in my American History class when I first saw it, an ad for the HD remake of my favorite game of all time. I nearly cried. That sealed what system I got that year, (as well as the fact that Wind Waker HD had a special edition console around that time), which I got with Rayman Legends. Mario Kart, New Super, 3D World, WWHD, Rayman, and Need for Speed have kept me occupied, with the help of the Virtual Console, and while the droughts were indeed painful, I have a PS3, 360, and 3DS, so I persevered. I have no regrets. Rayman, Mario Kart, and 3D World quickly became my favorite of each series, and I am eagerly anticipating Smash, Bayo 2, Party 10, Zelda U, Splatoon, Yoshi, Devil's Third, Mario Maker, and Xenoblade Chronicles X. I can very easily see this becoming my favorite home console of the 8th gen.

Off-TV Play with Gamepad is also amazingly convenient.

My grammar errors are justified by the fact that I am a brazilian living in Brazil. I am also very stupid.

Off-screen play. It's just a brilliant idea. My youngest has been working towards his golden wheels on MK8 for a few days now, and he was just so close to it when we needed the TV. So he quietly carried on off-screen until he finished it. (he uses the gamepad/pro controller combo)

Its uniqueness - very few of my kids' friends have a Wii U - but they're over at our house a lot playing it. Personally I hate the party games, but its these, and games like Tank Tank Tank that they love to play together as a group.

On a purely selfish note, for me it's the exclusives and the backwards compatibility. Nowhere else can I play MK or Smash.

Mario Kart 8.

Honestly, that and Super Mario 3D World are the only games I felt have justified my purchase so far. As long as Smash meets expectations, any regrets or sadness I have about the console will go away.

I really dig the design of the console it looks really nice (-minus power brick :p). I hv a black one although i would've preferred the white. And I like the fact that it has BC, because i skipped the Wii

The gamepad gives me a mixed feeling, the feel of the joysticks and buttons are awesome, screen is ok but I just dont find it comfortable.

My main concerns are the 32 GB HDD (no excuse for that), no dedicated store for India and complete lack of releases for most of the year and lack of genre diversity. I want to play the console more but I'll hv to wait for Bayonetta 2.

All in all I like it, but I do hope that Nintendo has the best saved up for later.

I have really enjoyed some of the games (Wind Waker HD, Super Mario 3D World, Mario Kart 8, Wii Party U, Wii Fit U, Hyrule Warriors, etc.), and still love some of my favorite Wii games which I can play through backwards compatibility (Xenoblade Chronicles, Twilight Princess, Skyward Sword, The Last Story, etc.). I've enjoyed quite a few eShop and VC games, and have enjoyed both online and local multiplayer with friends.

Most of all though, my love for Wii U is fueled by optimism. Optimism about the games that are yet to come: Smash Bros., Captain Toad, Splatoon, Xenoblade Chronicles X, Zelda, and more! It's not my favorite console/system ever (lookin' at you 3DS and N64), but it has the potential to be in the long-run. Even if I only ended up with the games I have now, plus the ones they've already shown as of E3 2014, I would feel satisfied with my Wii U purchase though. I'm an adult and only have so much time to game, and the time I do have is already divided up between 3DS and Wii U. So, I'm quite content.

Upcoming Games To Get

Definite: Kirby Star Allies (Switch), Mario Tennis Aces (Switch), Fire Emblem (Switch), Yoshi (Switch), Pokemon (Switch), Kingdom Hearts 3 (PS4), Monster Hunter World (PS4)

Considering: Fe (Switch), Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze (Switch), The World Ends With You (Switch), Ys VIII (Switch), Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition (PS4), Kingdom Hearts 2.8 Remix (PS4), The Last Guardian (PS4), Shadow of the Colossus HD (PS4), Anthem (PS4), Shenmue 3 (PS4), WiLD (PS4)

Good games that come out as fast as I can buy the ones I want.

What are you talking about? I didn't even love my ex-girlfriend :b

My bet with The_Liquid_Laser: I think the Switch won't surpass the PS2 as the best selling system of all time. If it does, I'll play a game of a list that The_Liquid_Laser will provide, I will have to play it for 50 hours or complete it, whatever comes first.

It has the best multimedia functionality with the gamepad and it has Mario Kart and soon Smash (less than a month!)
