I myself honestly think that the console industry is going to have to shrink or it will go under, in otherwords i think the industry is going to a have to go back to say a 5th generation or 6th generation sized market to stay profitable. This just my own idea, which i'm sure i'm not the first to have it but just thought i'd share it.

This wont be the last generation of gaming consoles because Jack Tretton, in an interveriew right after E3 2013, said that Sony is already working out the plans for the PS5 hardware.
