Awesome sales, though DC spun early of the line due to traction control issues they are dialing it in and soon will receive updates and run perfect laps.

Looks like it may be course to 500k with digital sales. Most people I know plan to buy the cheaper ps+ edition of they haven't already.

Imagine how much better the sales would have been had they not screwed up

I could use a new club. I joined a random one when clubs finally started working. Got them up to lvl 27 yet haven't seen them online yet, must be from a different time zone. I'm lvl 50 already, game is still fun. I hope club challenges start working soon. |
I love the damage model in this game, the cars may not turn into dust like other games but it handles what it does far more realistically.
If you are looking to join a new club feel free to join mine :) my club needs some tlc! I'm struggling with the sp at the moment. Punching above your weight is tough, don't know if I'll ever get it done.

Cool, It's RogueSquadron without a space right? There's another club called Rogue Squadron with 2 members, one lvl 7, confusing :)
I remember that event, keep trying. When I started the drift events I thought I could never reach all the targets, yet with the instant restarts, doing 30 runs in a row I got it in the end. Some of the faster cars require some light touch on the brakes and accelerator, really need to brake early and power through the corner to keep good grip and maintain your speed.
I changed my mind on India, used to be my least played location, currently a favorite. Barreling down this mountain towards the lake in the distance is epic no matter what time of day.

Id say near double, they really overshot the corner braking on this one. Right into the trees rally style crash and burn.
I don't know about the sales, but I definitely think the bad reviews were made by bad reviewers, as far as I know they had no server issues during the review period...
I don't really care for the club points, but the online matches are a sad thing to miss... but I am nowhere good enough to race on-line :-S
So I enjoy the game for what it is, I suspect this is the case for many people.
Very good sales. I hope that this game has good legs and also, screw the bad reviewers.

You don't need to be good to race online, just press the accelerator and aim for the nearest car. That seems to be the strategy of the majority of the pack :p The online penalties need some work though. Last night I brake for a corner, get rammed from behind off the track, car behind me doesn't get a penalty and overtakes. I pass again, brake for another corner following the driving line, he slams into me from the inside, I get a collision penalty...
I just picked it up tonight.
I know reviewers slated it, but a lot of the biggest complaints were it feels like it's mechanics haven't evolved with the genre and it's stuck in a time warp. Given racing games were much better a decade or so ago, I fail to see how that's a bad thing haha.
Plus I wanted a purdy racing game given it's my favourite genre. Need for Speed was shite on PS4 and that got universal praise, so I just don't trust journalists to review racing games to my taste anymore.
