I dont include Pixar (who I love) as they feel so unlike Disney. Least they did through "Up". I have concerns they may decline as well.

Pixar's problem is a lack of imagination right now.

Toy Story 3 (Sequel, amazing, but a sequel)
Cars 2 (Sequel, to one of their lesser works at that)
Brave (Unimaginative, on top of that executed poorly)
Monsters University (Sequel to a good film, but exectued poorly -- best thing about it was the commercials that acted like a promo for a real school, very clever)

They have nine films in development/planned. Only three are known to be original ideas.

Inside Out (June 19, 2015)
The Good Dinosaur (November 25, 2015)
Movie about Mexican holiday 'Day of the Dead' (TBA) (This is an excellent setting. Excited about this one.)

Finding Dory (June 17, 2016)
The Incredibles 2 (TBA)
Cars 3 (TBA)

Unkown 1 (June 16, 2017)
Unkown 2 (November 22, 2017)
Unkown 3 (June 15, 2018)

One of the unkowns may be Toy Story 4 (Tom Hanks has mentioned it), which really shows they're out of ideas as they wrapped up the story already.

I forgot Toy Story 3 came out after Up. That is actually my favorite entry in the trilogy and first one that got me emotionally.

I also liked MU a lot more than I expected. The message of life not always going right and how many people fail in school and find new paths was refreshing to me.

Mainly the Car films worry me as they feel like average DreamWorks type films with focus on merchandise and "cool" characters. No desire to see a third one.

Still, they built up enough capital to make some lesser films.

Seen all theatrically released animated Disney movie's. I'm sad they haven't done a 2d animated movie since princess and the frog. Though I have enjoyed their movies recently. And for all those of you saying they stmt as good as they used to be, check out some of the really bad ones from the 40s
From seeing the list of studio Gibli I realize I need to see many more of them. So far I'd say the best and worst of Disney are both extremes with the best and worst. Though if you add Pixar Disney gets a bigger edge.

I was going to just flat out say Ghibli, but I realized that out of the 11 Disney films listed there, I'd only seen like three of them in the last 10 years. So I don't exactly have good representative memories of them. I have very little nostalgia for them, though they have a good deal of historical improtance.

I'll have to watch a couple of the really good ones again...

Ghibli's my favorite, though. I just love their worlds, music, and art.

I am far more fond of the Disney movie, as I have only watched spirited away from ghibli. I'm not a big fan of anime or animated movies as of recently so yeah.

Studio Ghibli hands down! I love Disney's hand drawn animated films though.

For me, the reason Ghibli beats out Disney is its willingness to extend its brand beyond children focused entertainment. Disney focuses on appealing to children to a fault. Look at the Black Cauldron as an example of this; a film that could have benefited greatly from a PG-13 rating and a more mature story. I don't think we'll ever see imagery like this in a Disney film.

Disney for quantity, Ghibli for quality.

I love both, but I'd have to go with Disney. The music does it....

Ghibli obviously. Disney isn't very original and it has also passed its prime.
