Forums - Nintendo Discussion - The Swapper Wii U "closer to PS4 than PS3" graphically, details improvements over PS3

Tagged games:

When asked on twitter about what graphical improvements The Swapper on Wii U will have over the PS3 version, Curve Studios responded:

"Anti aliasing, significant lighting and particle effects, depth of field stuff" and summarised that "it's essentially far closer visually to the PS4 version than the PS3".

I have no idea what The Swapper is. Should it be on my radar?

Indie puzzle platformer...87 on Meta (PC)...lot of praise...

So the Game is something like the 2D Metroid Series as far as I can tell from the Vid. Could get interesting for sure

Now, you have my attention.

It's nice to see a third party dev going the extra mile to give us the best experience they can instead of just porting the last gen version wholesale.

WiiU is awesome, confirmed.

My grammar errors are justified by the fact that I am a brazilian living in Brazil. I am also very stupid.

This isn't particularly surprising, the game isn't exactly the peak of graphics tech :p I'm more surprised by the size of the gap between the PS3 and PS4 versions than anything.

Still, it's nice that they aren't just linearly porting the PS3 version to the WiiU.

Maybe cause that would be just plain...silly? ;)

This is a year and half old PC game that had its ports on PS3/4 back in august. And we all know how much PS3 is dev friendly. /s

Honestly, it's not that remarkably good looking game, but it's actually quite good game in itself, so people should play it for that.
