You know what'd really give Bayo 2 the extra push it needs...

A playable Smash Bros U demo.

Yes I know that should be free in the eShop anyway -- but there's probably some BS technical reason they could put out why they couldn't do that.

As Nintendo, you want to create a major hype bandwagon. Bayo 2 has one all its own, as does Smash. But if you can catalyze them together you can see some real benefit. You'll make the hordes of Smash fans buy Bayo 1 + 2, which they'll only complain about up until the point they end up playing Bayo 2. And I don't see Bayo 2 fans objecting to getting exclusive early access to Smash.

Do you think Bayo 2's release timing and the Smash Direct are any coincidence??

Lolll, well, its just like, a Smash demo would be nice but I doubt that many people are willing to spend $60 on a game that they might not care about for a demo of a game that will come out in a month... Vs, if Nintendo were to give them a demo of a game that will come out in 1-2 years and its a big one like Zelda, then people would fap their way to store and get the game asap!

I mean heck, the 3ds version may as well be a "SSB wiiU demo" although I do feel like that is discrediting the game cause the game does stand on its own very well but you get the idea

I think that is actually a pretty good idea.

That's actually a good idea. I'll never understand why people play for early access, but it would yank down some fence sitters.

oh if they add a special zelda or smash demo(i doubt it) if you buy bayonetta by the end of the year
nintendo fans will go crazy!
