I was about to fall as sleep by just listening to them talk.

he sounds like a self indulgent prick to be honest.

Review sites really need to stop giving jobs to people with an agenda/pre-formed bias.  You and I may have our disagreements, but this is a problem that is platform agnostic.

This. I thinkt the game will get very good score. Low 8's for sure.

Personally, IDGAF what the reviewers give it.  I can't trust them any further than I could throw them.  I just hope people take more time to look at SO without the overlay of some douchebag with a bias clouding the important things.

Correct, just give this guy the FPS games.  He will be happier then.

He comes across as trying to be mr cool, a hipster... but as I said he just comes across as a bit of a childish dickhead.  His "sidekick" is just weak with no opinions of his own.

I don't understand how a Review Editor, could even contemplate assigning a game in a genre, that one of their reviewers knowingly hates, to that person.  Gaming sites wonder why they're viewed with such distrust, and can't even make the connection.  It's absurd.  If any good comes from this generation, I really, sincerely hope it's the death of games reviews as a common tool for people researching titles they want to buy.

So this is going to be one of those games where people cry bloody murder whenever it gets a single negative impression?

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

A negative review, is fine.  A person who hates TPS games, and calls Infamous dull, is not the type of person a Games Review Editor should be assigning to review Sunset Overdrive.  And as a Sony fan, people can't claim bias.

Ibdid like the subtitle: "Overdriven Underwhelmed". Very glad they took developer's advice and didn't use "overhyped". Just proves that they are obviously not "lazy journalists".

Also, is it a rule now that only people who liked Infamous should be allowed to review this game?

Well, when the review embargo finally lifts a day before release, we will finally find out who is to be relied on more: people who dislike Infamous and have played SO, or people who have not played SO and like XBox.

Hyperbole doesn't help your argument.  No one has said if a reviewer doesn't like Infamous, they shouldn't be reviewing games.  However, multiple folks have stated that allowing someone who clearly doesn't like a certain Genre, to review/preview that genre, is stupid.  Give it to someone who actually likes TPS games, that way, you avoid having biases you know already exist, to effect the review process.

And this is a big problem in the industry.  It's not just Sunset Overdrive.  Bayonetta 2's review from Polygon, is the most recent example, and Dualshockers had a great article on the issue:
