Ironically, at the time LJN was a major publisher, Activision was trying to crawl out of bankruptcy.

Yep. It's weird, Activision asked a good developers Platinium Games for making games based on TV show, just like LJN hired a good developers Rare that made Beetlejuice. Sigh... Publishers control developers.
Activision + Platinium Games = Shitty game
LJN + Rare = Shitty game
Nintendo + Rare = Good game
Nintendo + Platinium Games = Good game

Don't forget:
Konami + Platinum = good game
Sega + Platinum = good games
Microsoft + Rare = a very mixed bag (some OK games, some shit)
The publisher generally dictates the content the developer makes, and sets the time and budget the developer gets to make the project. Nintendo is generally more generous with these things for its star developers. Sega also let them have a free hand and they made some good games under Sega. Konami gave them a specific IP to work with, but it's Konami's biggest property and they had the support of Hideo Kojima. And then Platinum was trying to rebuild a project that Kojima Productions didn't know how to finish on its own.
Activision, by contrast, wanted them to shit out a quickie downloadable cash-in on a licensed property on the cynical belief that people would buy it anyway just because it was LoK, and that's what they got.
What I find most funny is people at gamespot coming to the conclusion that they scored this so low to make up for the fact that they scored Bayo 2 so high. LMFAO!!!!

Some people shouldn't be allowed to own keyboards.

There is a reason for all their games to bomb. |
The reason is that most gamers dont have any taste...
Well I'm on the third level. It's very generic. But there's nothing inherently bad about it so far. I still have to finish, but my thoughts on the matter at hand? I can respect someone giving it a 5 if they're a harsh critic. So far I'd give it a 7/7.5. Definitely worth the 15 dollars I paid.
