Spike Chunsoft celebrates with cake.

The console versions of Terraria are doing quite well in Japan. Today, publisher Spike Chunsoft announced that sales of the PlayStation 3 and PS Vita versions have surpassed 300,000 units.

Sony sent Spike Chunsoft a pair of cakes in honor of the achievement.

Terraria launched in Japan for PlayStation 3 on May 23, 2013 and for PS Vita on February 6, this year.

The Japanese do love their kay-key. It's interesting to see it do so well. I wonder if it's popular on mobile?
