PC Gamers occasionally get lazy ports too (Final Fantasy XIII). Luckily we can mod or brute force better quality. Most PS3 ports weren't as bad as Bayonetta and if you only owned that system you probably wouldn't notice or care.

Lazy ports > no port at all.
Maybe some gamers have gotten spoiled these past years, but it never bothered to me having to purchase the "inferior" version, as long as I could purchase a version at all.
Oh please. Its not like it was downright unplayable. It ran fine when I played it. Just another case of gamers on the internet being nitpicking whiners. :/

I don't think the reason any game sold less on the wiiU was because they "boycotted' them.
for the same reason xbox one owners accept "lazy ports",.. a few less pixels or frames per second or a few jaggies and pop-ins doesn't make a good game not fun.
A badly ported game is still better than no game. A few were worth boycotting though.
You know the hardcore PS faithful that really listened to Ken Kutagari probably were convinced they had nothing less than the most next-gen console out there. So they just didn't care about lazy ports -- to them they already had the most perfect version simply because it was on a perfect console.
I predict NX launches in 2017 - not 2016
I think people can settle for 2nd best. But the WiiU is in odd spot of getting 3rd or 4th best. But for that, people are willing to just stay on last gen.

This is the problem right here. They did have a choice of buying a 360...but brand loyalty is more important than quality these days.
