Today I reached a large milestone in my Playstation gaming career. After freeing the 12th friend in Dust: An Elysian Tail I earned my 50th platinum trophy! Also passed 4,000 total trophies with the last couple (at 4,004 now)
How many platinums have you guys collected over the years? How often do you even go for trophies?
I only go for them if it's a game I enjoy playing anyway (in other words I don't buy games for platinums like some people with Terminator and such) and I don't go for them unless it's something collectible which I used to do before trophies anyway. Multiplayer is usually a killer for me unless it's something simple like playing a game in each mode in Uncharted 2 or completing the journeys in TLoU (double platinumed that one lol). Some have been easy like TWD or Sly Collection but some have been damn difficult (for me) like Uncharted 2 on Crushing or getting all the Demon's Souls weapons upgraded with all the different stones (shutters). I always get a good feeling of satisfaction when I get a platinum though and I count a fun trophy list as a nice plus to increase the replayability of a game and extend its life. On to either 100 plats or 10,000 total (whichever comes first)!
