Forums - PC Discussion - Paranautical Activity pulled off Steam because developer tweets ''I am going to kill gabe newell. He is going to die.''

It is an absolute shame about the monopoly Steam holds. I keep telling myself I'm going to break away from it but it's really hard, even though I hate the Steam client/web site with a passion. Small developers are completely at the mercy of Valve right now.

he's lucky he only got his game pulled, if you directed that tweet at a woman in the industry you'd have been arrested by now.

The guy is an asshat

Check out my hype threads: Cyberpunk, and The Witcher 3!

Well what the fuck did he expect making a joke like that?

lmao. Even without the death threat, he was complaining so obnoxiously about how bad Steam is, I wouldn't have blamed Valve if they had removed his game for that alone.

Both of these guys are acting like children, though. The second guy is acting like he doesn't recognize what a huge liability the first guy is.

Seriously, if you say, "I am so FUCKING DONE DEALING WITH FUCKING INCOMPETENT SHITS," you have no right to complain when those "fucking incompetent shits" remove your product from their 'shelves.' He said he was done dealing with them, if the end result he was looking for was not to be done dealing with them then he shouldn't have said it.

Tweeting death threats tends to do that. Bad situation all around.

I didn't see anything like that at all.

''My fucking career is down the fucking tubes... I can not believe this for a moment. cant believe this shit... I am reeling. WTF am I gonna do now? seriously, wtf am i supposed to do about all of this. My shit is ruined, I keep watching this feed, and its all bad.. this so horrible, I didnt say shit. how the fuck am i supposed to fix this fucking nightmare?''

"wtf am I supposed to do... how the fuck am i supposed to fix this fucking nightmare?" Yeah, that's a rational, adult response. It's pretty obvious what the best course of action is for him at this point. Sever ties with the idiot who got him in this mess, write a formal apology to Valve explaining the situation, ask them to put his game back on Steam. Tweeting about it to the whole world with this kind of language is not solving any of his problems. It's only making things worse. To me, this kind of reaction shows that he is no more professional than his colleague. Especially with Tweets like, "you know what i enjoy, cunt ass journalists jumping on the negative shit.. couldnt post a positive thing if it bit them in the fucking face" -- how old is this guy, exactly? Because he writes like a teenager.

Well he's right about the Steam monopoly and i could understand him being frustrated about it, but he simply handled the situation very immaturely and Steam is not really at fault for pulling the game. Feel bad for the partner though and hope he can calm things down with Steam!
