As of recent (last gen) probably Dead Space and Red dead redemption.

Dead space (1 and 2) for the atmosphere, the tight gameplay and the scares. While Red dead redemption for the ending, the beautifully crafted world and great gameplay.

Well, I do play sc2 a lot! And by a lot, I mean almost everyday loll. So for me, it will have to be Starcraft 2 Heart of the Swarm!

My main reason is because of the online community and the large variety of custom maps! You can play anything from a Sc2 style MMO, to a Dota clone, to Bejewled, to Poker, to FPS, to Racing, to Hockey, to TFS and etc! There are a shit ton of custom maps in sc2 and thats really what keeps me coming back alone with the competitive scene that is

Super Mario Galaxy is my most enjoyable game ever..so much variety, excelent gameplay mechanics, epic music on every level and it almost made me cry when those little ...ive played it for a long, long time and every time was like the first..it was also the first game in a long time that I felt like playing a video game and experiencing the magic again as I have when I was a child. truly a masterpiece.

Tsubasa Ozora

Keiner kann ihn bremsen, keiner macht ihm was vor. Immer der richtige Schuss, immer zur richtigen Zeit. Superfussball, Fairer Fussball. Er ist unser Torschützenkönig und Held.

Zone of the Enders the Second Runner

it is the perfect mech game, beaitifull cel shaded graphics that have kept the game from aging since the HD remastered version looks just like a PS3 game, the combat was a ton of fun and really fast paced (it made honor to its genre "High Speed Robot Action") and playing it was just like watching an anime since the artstyle, graphics and gameply mixed perfectly and at the time that was something never seen (at least for me).

Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition

Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker. It gave me a reason to keep playing and come back. The weapon and item developing, the boss fights, the mech fights, the recruiting, the co-op, the simplified gameplay... it's still addicting.

Recently? Definitely Forza Horizons 2, I just love cruising the open world and jumping into an online freeroam. The game is so well made and incredibly fun.

Everquest. It was 4 years of pure fun, got me engaged and thus facilitated me moving to Canada.

Runner up; Ni No Kuni. So well made, and the marriage of Studio Ghibli with Level-5 is a dream come true.

That's tough. A lot of my favorite games are very flawed in one way or another, even if I think they are brilliant otherwise.

I'm gonna go with Gran Turismo 3: A-Spec. That game was close to perfect, relative to the constraints of the platform on which it appeared. I don't know if any game has ever blown me away from the time I popped in the disc in the same way.
