Do you have any plans to buy a Playstation TV? and if yes what will the main purpose be for it?

Originally I wasnt planning to buy one, but now im on the fence. I wasnt much interested as I thought that blowing up the games onto a bigger screen would make them look a bit rough, but from what I have read and the few video's I have seen that doesnt seem to be the case. Sometimes I think it might be nice to play some of my Vita game (mostly the niche Japanese ones) on the sofa with a joypad and big screen TV :)

Nope... I would rather buy a Vita cause its portable and it has a bit more games than the vita TV and the games look better at vita's resolution cause of the tiny screen. There also seems to be a lot of other issues

"The PlayStation TV does many things, but it only does a select few of them consistently well. The PlayStation 4 streaming is inconsistent. The video streaming lacks variety. Both of those suffer from the system's video and audio hardware limitations. There's a lot of compromise involved in picking one up for those reasons.

The PlayStation TV is built with the innards of a PlayStation Vita, and it's at its best when its doing what Sony's portable was built to do — playing Vita and PSP games. Even then there's a lot of compromising to do. The library is smaller than many would like, and some of the portable system's best games (Tearaway) were built to take advantage of its unique features, features that aren't available on the PlayStation TV.

It can transform your TV into a world of ugly bubbles.

It can fall off of the entertainment stand."

Yup.

Mostly for PS4 streaming in the other room, secondary for the PSP and Vita games on the big screen cause I prefer that, although the games I'm most interested in like Uncharted are not compatible, so it's not my main selling point.

So it is happening...PS4 preorder.

Greatness Awaits!

I have a vita but I was thinking about the VitaTV because I would rather play with a DS4. Still on the fence about it now. Does anyone know if you can remote play over the internet with this as well?

Is there region lock? Do any games come free with it?

I'd be surprised if it had a region lock as none of the current Vita models or consoles do, its just your PSN account thats region locked.

No free games, there is a package I think that comes with a game and DS3

bought and returned it.the PS4 remote play is not as good as the Vita. to much lag no matter how i connected. the Vita wirelessly i wasn't getting any noticeable lag, so you would think the PSTV should be just as good especially wired. and the games i already purchased for the Vita did not work. had high hopes for the remote play.
