Why do I get the feeling it's gonna be one of those games where it's praised for its graphics and not the gameplay..?

That's because you don't know much about the game. Souls games ALWAYS have the gameplay locked at levels of awesome. It's nice to have graphics this time too.

Not only that, but the gameplay in Bloodborne is different from that of previous Souls games. The lack of a shield in Bloodborne makes a huge difference. I also like how if you get hit, you have a small timeframe to gain that health back by hitting your enemies.

I don't think anyone really uses a shield in DS aside from looks. Once you learn how to dodge, shield is entirely useless and most dragon bosses make it irrelevant anyway, lol.

Are you sure the gameplay of DS games are awesome? Or masochist gamers find it fun?

Anyway I gamers (the ones that look for actual fun not hair pulling gameplay) have reasonable concern when it comes to From Software.

The Souls games didn't become some of the highest rated games of the last generation simply because they're hard. Yes they are difficult, but fair. Hell they're not even that bad once you learn the mechanics. You see From Software has confidence in their players that they're not 5 year olds who just want to press one button and win. They like to think their customers want an actual challenge.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

It's not about the difficult in itself. It's cheap difficulty, poor character control (game mechanics), bad hit box detection and weird way to tell story through.

There are games that are super hard but the developers make it bearable with excellent character and camera control.

Have... you even played these games? They have some of the finest and most refined mechanics I've ever seen.

I do appreciate difficulty in games but I love tight controls even better.I'm pretty sure DS series are fun for the fans but the clunky controls is a barrier to a lot of gamers.

The controlls weren´t clunky and that has little to do with Bloodborne as the team under Miyazki is making this one, not the DS2 team.

The controls/gameplay do feel better in DS2 but it was still sub par compared to top 3rd person adventure games.

And I didn't say anything about Bloodborne but From Software. I haven't seen enough of Bloodborne to judge it either way.
