This! It's always the same with Sony, they are praising their games to heaven and then in the end it's an average game like DriveClub! I'm sick of these self praise from Sony!

The graphics are off the charts! at 1080p/30fps...

He then went on to the toilet and declared it the most gorgeous restroom.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

Well it's more reliable then hearing from bias journalist any way. Because if it's not then big responsible for people at Sony.

Yeah graphic is awesome, but i think gamers want to hear more about the gameplay. It's not that i hate graphic, but lately what we heard from Sony execs is only mentions graphic, graphic and graphic about their exclusives games.
Well i hope i can hear more about Wild and No Man Sky in the future, no more comment like "oh magosh ps4 graphic is God like" Lol :D. We already know PS4 is leading on graphic department for console.

Why do I get the feeling it's gonna be one of those games where it's praised for its graphics and not the gameplay..?

Not surprising considering it's a tight linear game. At least I think it is.

Not my type of game but I might try this when it drops in price a few months after and if reviews/word of mouth is good.

That's because you don't know much about the game. Souls games ALWAYS have the gameplay locked at levels of awesome. It's nice to have graphics this time too.

Graphics importance is way overrated...

The quality of graphics is important. it is a good thing to have great graphics, they assist to make the game impressive. Not a single thing negative about having high quality graphics. Yet, you managed to complain somehow..

It can be a negative when developers focus on graphics over gameplay... Lair and Ryse are perfect examples of this.

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.

Actually, the general impresion that DS2 has better and more refined gameplay, but the bosses and the structure of the world lacked behind the others games. The "series' is known for deep and great gameplay mechanics, there are plenty of articles about this. There is no good reason to come in a sole thread about graphics to complain.

DS2 has rather broken gameplay... The tracking and hitboxes in DS2 are absurdly bad and dodge IFrames are messed up due to the agility stat, making it mandatory to deal with delayed and bad hitboxes, which makes for rather lackluster gameplay, and the PvP is broken by Soul Memory and unbalanced armor/weapon design, the removal of kick, and easy-mode hexes. The game is certainly smoother and more refined in terms of animation but I wouldn't say it plays better at all, especially, as you mentioned, the bosses are mostly subpar outside of the rather stellar DLC. The game is built on those boss encounters and DS2 is full of boring 3-hit combo humanoids parading around as bosses and wanna-be Sif fights.

It looks great though, and its a good game but as a Souls game the only thing it can tout is pretty graphics.

Are you sure the gameplay of DS games are awesome? Or masochist gamers find it fun?

Anyway I gamers (the ones that look for actual fun not hair pulling gameplay) have reasonable concern when it comes to From Software.
