Religion: Some remnants of Christian faith

Earth age: Very very old (I'll go with the 4.5 billion years people keep mentionning)

Evolution or Creationism: Evolution

UFOs: I think life could exist somewhere else in the universe but I highly doubt they came here and probed our hard working farmers.

Ghosts: Don't believe in them but I find ghost stories really entertaining

Bible prophecy: I see the Bible as a series of stories/images meant to convey a message and not something to be taken literally.

Dinosaurs: Lived millions of years ago and went extinct around 65 millions years ago. Never lived with humans except for Jurrasic Park.

Really? I see no fights here man. Even truckssaurus replied and he was very nice. I think you should post your beliefs as well, it is a lot of fun to read, in a good way.

By the way, there are a lot of moderators here and I don´t know how to do Multiple Quotes, so cut me some slack and I will try to wait a little befor I write a replay to someone.

@Ka-pi. Anti-theist means you do not have religion and also do not like them?

My grammar errors are justified by the fact that I am a brazilian living in Brazil. I am also very stupid.

Putting high value on one's own beliefs is an extremely risky move. Outside of religious extremists, you will rarely find two people who share the exact same beliefs; beliefs which they have mainly crafted according to their own preferences (by valuing some parts of their respective religious writings and calling other parts symbolic, or even incorrect) rather than believing in what they find more credible.

The end result is that you have billions of people with different beliefs, and that either extremely few or none actually have the correct belief. Heck, all you have to do is assume that humans have altered a single significant part of the Bible (assuming it was true at some point in time) and suddenly everyone who believes in that part have an incorrect belief.

What do I believe? I believe you have a far greater chance of winning the lottery than you have of guessing the truth.

No no no, this thread is not about guessing the truth. My buddy Nintentacle does those. This one is about reading what Vgcharterz believe about cool topics like Ghosts and Bible Prophecy, without judgment or anger.

Religion: Non

Earth age: 4.5 billion years

Evolution or Creationism: Evolution

UFOs: Not in the sense of flying saucers operated by aliens. If another intelligent race has the capability to detect us they'll be observing us from afar, not zipping back and forth in unpractible flying objects. Plus the chances of another intelligent race within a few thousand light years seems very slim. Alien abduction stories are likely early memories of first (inocculation) doctor visits.

Ghosts: Fabrication of the mind

Bible prophecy: About as reliable as Pachter

Dinosaurs: The big stompy ones, extinct 65 million years ago

Dragons: doing fine today.

Around the Network

Religion: Christian, no denomination

Earth age: 4.5 Billion Years

Evolution or Creationism: Evolution

UFOs: Imagination/hysteria/hoax

Ghosts: Strange things happen, we don't yet know what causes them. Not the dead.

Bible prophecy: Vague and ambiguous

Dinosaurs: Still alive today. (BIRDS! :P )

Religion: Agnostic. I once was a Christian (CoE) but not longer am, scientific knowledge and abandoment has left me agnostic.

Earth age: 4.5 billion years

Evolution or Creationism: Evolution

UFOs: Unidentified Flying Objects exist, anyone who says they don't is being stupid by basic of definition, other worldly intelligent lifeforms however, a very strong chance in the vast universe we exist in, I just don't think many will ever find us and unlikely we will ever make contact.

Ghosts: The wind.

Bible prophecy: Bullcrap, people looking for meaning in things that don't exist.

Dinosaurs: Now birds.

Hmm, pie.

Religion: None

Earth age: 4.54 Billion years (Until better dating methods provide a more accurate answer)

Evolution or Creationism: Every single slice of evidence that exists is in support of evolution. DNA, and lab and natural observations have shown it, the very fact that pesticides only work until the pest becomes resistant to it is evidence for evolution. Medicine such as vaccines do not work unless evolution is taken into account.

UFOs: These are objects in the sky that some people don't know, by very definition.. unidentified. For people to force an identity such as aliens from a distant world visiting us is rather bizarre considering they admitted they don't know what it is by calling it a 'UFO'

Ghosts: The brain enjoys making patterns, therefore it makes sense some people will think they see human shaped figures in darkness.

Bible prophecy:If you throw enough spaghetti at the wall some of it is going to stick.

Dinosaurs: All the bones are fake and planted by the devil.... I was hoping I had you there.. okay no they existed obviously just not with humans.

You cannot pick and choose basic scientific principles when they all use the same method that allows you to post on the internet, make phone calls and grant you medicine. It is an insult to everything that drives your everyday life.
