D'oh! I should have noticed two separate entries for SM64. Well, let me rephrase myself: Aside from a couple of Pokemon games and the DS re-release of Super Mario 64, no compilation or re-release has ever sold over 5 million copies.

I agree with the point of your post, but;

All, except one, of the Super Mario Advances (which are actually Super Mario World, Super Mario Bros. 2 and Super Mario Bros. 3) along with Super Mario Bros. Deluxe (which is the original Super Mario Bros.) on GBC have crossed 5m as well. Could also count Mario All-Stars on SNES.

So it's actually; "Aside from a couple of Pokémon games and Super Mario platformers..."

How can a game sell 10 million copies when the console itself has barely sold what? 5 million or so ww? No chance sorry.

Halo 5 however will sell considerably better when it launches next year though considering there will be a larger install base but even then I doubt it hitting those kinda numbers this gen.

Even though it has become apparent that fan-boy is a dirty word on this site, I cannot help but observe how illogical those who side with Microsoft are. As a general rule I've found that the "Xbots" are impossibly illogical and the "Ponies" are extremely aggressive, although either group tends to stray into the others' territory every now and then.

No, the Masterchief Collection will not sell ten million copies; it probably won't even reach half of that.

I lol-ed at first but maybe the Masterchief collection will have infinite legs. Regardless of how Halo 5 turns outm, the original 4 games with their respective multiplayers intact all remastered onto one disc is bound to be a continued seller for years right?

10m lifetime is achievable IMO. Definitely not this year or next though.

I'm predicting 7m after holiday 2015 and then 8m-11m LT depending on legs and how well X1 sells longterm.
